  1. Thanks a lot! I successfully boot into my Mavericks hdd by following the instructions at the following link. http://Olarila.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=28&t=3405&p=33648#p33648 Just copy the EFI folder from Pendrive's EFI partition to my hdd's EFI partition. Reboot. In Clover menu, go to Clover Boot Options(the one for SATA) and select Add as UEFI boot option. I wonder why the Clover UEFI Guide never mentioned that? http://cloverboot.weebly.com/install-clover-to-usbhdd.html Configuration aside, I thought installing Clover would be as easy as installing a pkg.
  2. I installed clover_v2k_r2428, after reboot, I can see one more boot option "Mac OS X." But no matter which one I chose, it always says "Missing Operating System." MB: ASRock H67M-ITX, UEFI bios v2.20, patched CPU: intel core i5-2400 NVidia GT 630 OS: Mavericks 10.9.1 raw USB from Olarila disk: only one, WD 320G 2.5" HDD, GPT now I can only boot Mavericks from usb installer. What can I do to fix the boot issue?
  3. I believe my bobo has EFI BIOS - ASRock H67M-ITX (UEFI BIOS) But the partition scheme for my disk is MBR I tried to read http://clover-wiki.zetam.org/Configuration but still don't know how to properly configure Clover. I wonder how the usb installer can boot into the system so smoothly. Everything works except Audio when I boot from usb installer. Is there a working config inside the usb that I can copy over? Or should I just give up and use Chameleon instead. Clover is powerful but it's really not for noobs I guess. Options I use to install Clover - setup01.png - setup-02.png
  4. After install OSX, read in here to know how configure your installation: http://Olarila.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=28&t=1716 I'll help you in many questions, but you need read this carefully and undestand I can't believe I have to ask for help so soon! After Mavericks installation, I installed Clover bootloader. 1. My EFI BIOS shows a new boot option called(Mac OS X), which boots directly into my Mountain Lion on another disk(which is my first SSD). I have to remove that disk for that same option to boot into Mavericks. 2. I got the following message after installing FakeSMC and reboot "OSMetaClass: Kext org.netkas.driver.FakeSMC class FakeSMCKey is a duplicate;kext org.netkas.FakeSMC already has a class by that name." it seems like Clover has loaded something similar to FakeSMC, because I can boot into Mavericks without it.However, kexts for hardware sensors complains about dependency error, saying no FakeSMC was loaded. thanks for help
  5. 1. Oops! I'm so sorry! In the hackintosh world, I'm just a 2-month old baby and I wasn't aware that tonycrap's stuff is a violation of the original osx86 spirit. Ever since I googled for hackintosh tutorial, most of them use *Beast tools. As a result, I thought it is the "official" approach to building a hackintosh. Silly me! 2. Being unable to know what's going on under the hood is really painful. Please show me the best way into the osx86 world. Thanks!
