  1. I thought "single user mode" should be there in boot options but I don't see it there (image attached). It only shows "single user verbose mode" which I've already tried to no avail as I mentioned in my last post. If "single user mode" is something different and I have to do something other than what I'm doing, plz let me know. Regards!
  2. Dear @pernacabeluda, Following the given instructions, I made bootable USB without any alteration and booted. It failed. Then I deleted kernel cache and video kexts as per given instructions and booted again. It again failed and said "..Error loading kernel cache" (image attached). I tried again by selecting option of "boot without caches", "boot without injected kexts and caches" and "boot in single user verbose mode" but all failed and showed the same screen (image attached). Plz tell me what should I do now? Regards!
  3. Thanks for kind reply and sorry for stupid question.. I get it now..will try to minimize the annoying questions during my quest to install OS X 10.10 on my HP-1000 Notebook.. Regards!
  4. Dear @pernacabeluda, I forgot the file manager/software we used to delete files/folders from RAW image. Can u plz tell me about that? To use in Windows... Thanks.
  5. You're great.. Going to download it.. Hope your updates will work a lot for me.. Thanks!
  6. Here is pic of my BIOS: https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=0BwSmHUJNHwp0RWZvUkdwb0FtNm8&usp=sharing Before installing OS X, I disabled Legacy Support (shown in pic) to boot in UEFI mode. OS X installed successfully but BIOS has run away. Now option to press "Esc" key to enter system set up does not appear. Plz take a look at the pic and let me know if you have any suggestion for me! Thanks! PS: I am Googling as well, also posted a question on answerw.yahoo but no luck so far.
  7. I have Win 8.1 x64 .iso image. I formatted my USB to FAT32 and wrote .iso image on it using Win 7 USB/DVD Tool but it could not boot as the Tool reformatted it to NTFS. Then I copied contents of written image from USB to OS X partition, reformatted USB to FAT32 and copied contents form OS X partition to USB (just copied, not written). Now USB is in FAT32 format and contains all folders and files of .iso image and it clearly shows /efi/boot/bootx64.efi in it, but still it does not boot. Pardon me if I am doing something stupid or annoying you and kindly guide me to complete my Windows installation. Thanks!
  8. Dear @pernacabeluda !! You suggested in first post as follows: "Before installing Windows you need to change the partition format to NTFS. You can use gParted from a Linux live CD" I have installed OS X Mavericks successfully, thanks to your guide for that. I have Linux Mint 15 Olivia live DVD and when I try to boot from it in order to run gparted to format my one partition to NTFS, it just does not boot. plz guide me as to what I need to get Linux live DVD boot so that I can format one partiions to NTFS and install Windows on it. Thanks!
  9. Thanks! I'll keep an eye there for update!
  10. "WiFi won't work" -- said for one system for some reason or any general bug..?
  11. So I've installed Mavericks on my HP-1000 Notebook with Clover installed in HDD. Many thanks to staff for cooperation and guidance! A bit more of help needed to: - - Get my WiFi working - - Get my Nexus 4 recognised by Mavericks to transfer files Regards!
  12. Thanks! I've installed Mavericks and Clover in EFI partition. However, I need to add "cpus=1" in boot args each time when I boot. Any solution to permanently add "cpus=1" in boot args..?
  13. Hi guys, starting post stated: "You need at least one free partition, use Disk Utility (in the Utilities menu) to erase it as Mac Os Extended (Journaled). If you want to install the boot loader in this partition and you use MBR (not GUID, like if you already have Windows in the HD), it must be a primary (not extended/logical) partition". I have MBR and a free primary partition of 50 GB for Mavericks. When I try to erase it to Mac OS Extended journaled using Disk Utility, it shows error saying that partition can't be modified because it's MBR. Any suggestions plz..?
  14. I am sorry for annoying questions but I am unable to understand where should I write those commands..? plz explain with a bit more simplicity.. Regarding what Mr @pernacabeluda suggested, I wanna inform you that I tried it but it did not work.. I dont know much, You guys can see my system details in earlier given my pics link and may be you could be able to tell me whether there is any compatibility or support issue of my hardware or something. Meanwhile, I tried to get kexts for my hardware from very this website, I was required to download and install SystemInfo like program for windows, I did it and opened it but it was not showing any device,, just showing blank screen.. Further suggestions needed plz... Thanks a lot... PS: I GUESS BEST HELP FOR ME WOULD BE TO GUIDE ME TO GET KEXTS FOR MY HARDWARE. I'VE GOOGLED IT BUT NO PROGRESS SO FAR. I ALSO DONT SEE ANY OF FOLLOWING IN MY SYSTEM\LIBRARY\EXTENSIONS; AMDRadeon* ATI* GeForce* OTHER ONES APPEAR THERE AND I DELETE THEM TO BOOT PROPERLY.
  15. Thank you boss.. nice to see you.. I will follow your suggestions and tell here the outcome later. Thanks all for kind cooperation.
  16. Like I said dear, I followed the instructions 100%.. Plz be sure of that.. I downloaded required file, uncompressed it, opened the duplicate of raw image using TransMac, navigated to \system\library\extensions, right clicked there and selected "copy here" and in pop-up window, I found out the uncompressed kexts (seen like folders in windows) and selected all three kexts that you suggested and they were successfully copied to \system\library\extensions and I saw all of them there in \system\library\extensions with my very own eys. Then I formatted my usb and re-wrote with modified raw image and then booted successfully up to the installer screen but again stuck there as the touchpad was not working. Now I am trying your new suggestion and will tell the outcome here after a while. Thanks a lot for your kind cooperation. PS: while searching for "keyboard / touchpad not working in OS X Installer screen", I found a guy with almost similar problem in a forum, someone there suggested that if it's not working in installer screen, it might be graphics problem, you should delete all graphics kexts. The guy with problem did so and responded that his problem is solved. Then I myself navigated to \system\library\extensions in hunt for graphics kext but I could not understand how to determine which one is a graphic kext. Any help in this regard will be appreciated.
  17. @KrLx_roller No progress boss.. Still stuck at installer screen.. Seems as if the added kexts have no impact at all.. Be sure I followed all instructions 100%.. Let me tell you something, following are present in the written image in \EFI\CLOVER\kexts\10.9 --> AppleACPIPS2Nub.kext --> VoodooPS2Controller.kext --> VoodooPS2Keyboard.kext --> VoodooPS2Trackpad.kext Should I copy them to raw image in \system\library\extensions..??? or any other suggestion to get touchpad working or to use keyboard to open Disk Utility in OS X Installer screen..?
  18. Thank you so much boss.. I'm trying this and will let you know about the outcome in a while..
  19. @KrLx_roller thanks dear but unfortunately I can't arrange usb mouse right now. I would really appreciate if you kindly guide me with a bit of details as to where I can get the driver and how can I add it to required place to get things working. Sorry if my stupid questions annoying you but I am a new one in these things and I need a bit detailed help. Thanks.
  20. I repeated all again, delete kernel cache + bluetooth driver + video drivers as suggested by the uploader in 1st post (Intel), then I booted using various options but again stuck, at last one thing worked and I got past to Installer screen. The option that worked was: Change boot args to: -v npci=0x2000 cpus=1 _ point to be noted is that we not only have to add cpus=1 in bootargs but we need to add a space as well. So now I am at installer screen, I know what to do here but problem is that touchpad isn't working. And on keyboard, only tab and space bar are working and they change only 2 options on installer screen, i.e. "continue" and the "back". Any suggestion how can I get my touchpad working to use Disk Utility to format the partition where I wanna install Mavericks. Or how can I do it using keyboard...? An early response would be highly appreciated. Thanks. Do I need to add the driver for my touchpad in \system\library\extensions..?
  21. Dear staff, as I said, I repeated the whole procedure, .raw file written successfully on usb, then I booted with no modification other than adding cpus=1 in bootrags... this time it went a few further than lost time stuck screen (pic available at below link as Stuck1).. then I deleted kernel cache + \system\library\elements as suggested in opening post by the uploader.. Then I booted using various options (without caches, verbos mode etc), also by modifying boot args and without modifying it.. but now it sticks immediately showing Stuck2 screen (link is given below)... Any guidance in this regard will be highly appreciated. Thanks. Link for pics: https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=0BwSmHUJNHwp0RWZvUkdwb0FtNm8&usp=sharing PS: My system details also available in pics System1 and System2
  22. Okay then I guess I should format the usb and start from zero again. May be I have done something wrong. I am repeating the whole procedure from writing the .raw file to usb. I will let you know about the outcome when I am done. thnx for ur kind cooperation.
  23. My apology sir, you were right, arrow keys were working actually in Clover boot screen but I could not notice that, my bad. Now I opened the options menu in Clover, modified it exactly as you said and booted again but result was same. It was stuck at same next screen. I tried again several boot options (verbos, without caches ets) but still no progress. Plz let me know what should I do now? Thanks indeed.
  24. I am sure boss, only spacebar works there, I tried all keys. Okay I will try Chameleon and let you know the outcome later. Thanks a lot for your cooperation.
