Hello,
First of all I'd like to thank the staff for putting together this incredibly useful site.
Now, the issue:
I've spent the last few days trying to get my head around 10.9 and the integrated ALC892 audio card on my P8Z68-V running the latest patched BIOS and Clover as a bootloader.
I've extracted the DSDT with AIDA64 and patched it with the P8 (generic) BIOS 3xxx.txt. Generally speaking Mavericks runs great but a few things don't seem to be right:
1) The on-board audio is recognised as Intel High Definition Audio, some pins are enabled but no audio device is available in the System Preferences pane. I've tried patching the DSDT with the generic HDEF patch but it can't compile (it whines about duplicates) and the ALC892 patch (it compiles and System Information reports it as Audio ID: 892 but no audio devices are available in System Preferences).
2) The system goes to sleep just fine but whenever I try to wake it up it gets stuck on a black screen, USB devices do not turn on and I can only push the reset button
3) I'm running the GenericUSBXHCI.kext (latest version) to enable USB 3.0 on the ASMedia 1042 controller. It gets detected, USB 2.0 devices work fine on it but my USB 3.0 external HDD keeps reporting error -36 whenever I try to copy files to it.
Could anyone shed light on these matters (mainly the ALC892 codec and the sleep issue) and hopefully help me patch/fix/whatever the required DSDT entries? Thank you very much
I'm attaching the files currently in use.
