  1. Sorted. Forgot to enable eHCI in BIOS.
  2. Hi all. Managed to install 10.9 (using the link in the first post) and upgraded to 10.9.4. Graphics and Sound somehow i managed to fix. But when I installed Clover r2818 to the HDD, all the USB ports (for my keyboard and mouse) stopped working. Booting into HDD using Clover from the USB installer is ok. Anything I missed?
  3. 1. propriety 2. iDeneb is a "distro". you will have better chances of a 'vanilla' install. the usb installer in the sticky threads are 'vanilla' i think. 3. after doing your hack and you think you appreciate the software, then please purchase the original. so get the usb installer from here, put to usb and start installing. then either you use those kexts you mentioned or look for updated versions that work with the version of ML you intend to install. take note that doing a hackintosh takes a LOT of patience. it normally takes me more than a week to 'finalize' my installation and get everything working as it should be. if you hit a snag, either you reply to this thread or make a new one specifying your exact problem so that others may be able to help you at the soonest time possible.
  4. ok, i was in imac 13,2 and graphics drivers were loaded properly, no qe/ci. downloaded mactracker and found out that my system is actually compatible for imac 13,1 so i changed the smbios and the result is it won't boot! oh well, gonna download the 10.8.5 and see if that changes my luck for me tomorrow EDIT: reinstalled 10.8.4, smbios iMac31,1 since i cannot wait until tomorrow. edited AGPM as suggested above, i got QE/CI!!!
  5. Mac Mini 6,2 So what do you suggest i use for my desktop? Asus P8H77 with i7-3770?
  6. thanks for that. do you mean i install 13,1/13,2 smbios or copy the settings from 13,1/13,2 and put it into 6,2? I have seen on another guide from this site (in Portuguese) talking about patching the AGPM and there was a "patch.txt" for legacyAGPM.kext. can I instead copy those txt file and put that in the plist instead?
  7. I have a problem of my own, AGPM fails to load which in turn fails to enable the graphics card. Using smbios 6,2 here.
  8. boot with -v -f GraphicsEnabler=No if that does not push through, then -x (you may have to remove your graphics kexts as mentioned in the first page)
  9. I am using this same installer. Video kexts (appleintelframebuffercapri.kext) fails when i install the bootloader directly to HDD. Any solutions? (Im dual booting with windows 7 on mbr)
  10. I know that dsdt is not a God, but who knows.... it just might be an ANGEL which will solve my graphics acceleration issue? Thanks for the edit, i will give it a go later today when i get home, that is, after I fix my corrupted IntelAppleFramebufferCapri.kext (messed it up editing so many things).
  11. so, nobody can patch my DSDT properly for me?
  12. Thanks for that. I'll have another look. From what I understood, the latest release of Chameleon injects the video ID and it's just a matter of trying out the correct entry/value as suggested for the Boot.plist file. I will even go as much as reinstalling and starting from scratch if that's needed.
  13. The solution is to have a valid, patched DSDT, and framebufferCapri, that's why I asked if someone can have a look at what I have done, correct it and have a PROPERLY patched DSDT.
  14. I have the above mentioned motherboard and an i7-3770 using only the onboard HD 4000 as graphics. 1. I have extracted the DSDT.dsl from windows 7 ultimate (untouched DSDT.dsl.zip) 2. I have tried to compile with available patches, somehow managed to fix the errors (DSDT.zip) 3. And I have attached my ioreg result (praetorius.ioreg.txt.zip) Now, my main concern actually is to enable QE/CI on this graphics. I was able to load the kexts yesterday (graphics shows 512-768mb RAM) and offers scalable resolution but no QE/CI. Today, i have tried a lot of combinations of chameleon bootloaders, device properties EFI string injections, different SMBIOS configurations, etc. To no avail. A. what's the best possible SMBIOS config to be used for this? was using 6.2 but now I am in 13.1 (trying them all) B. Bootloader? I tried chimera, was too slow for some reason and had to reset to default my BIOS because of USB problems. I am now on the latest Chameleon bootloader.
  15. at which point do I press "1"? on boot-up, I press F8 on Asus board to select boot device 1. do I highlight the USB installer, press 1 then press enter? 2. do I highlight the USB installer, press enter then 1? (if i don't press 1 here, i am presented with the Clover bootloader) Since I tried option #2 yesterday, it booted in Verbose mode, then came back out to the Apple Screen with the rotating wheel and did not progress further. Do I delete the Intel or whatever kexts using transmac?
