ASUS G53SW Mavericks can only boot with nv_disable=1

Hello; I have Mavericks 10.9.5 installed on an ASUS G53SW. It can boot only when I use nv_disable=1 as a boot flag, otherwise i get black screen every time. I have installed it using Beast tools from tonycrapx86. I would like to know how enable the graphics acceleration. I had this laptop working once before using Mavericks, so I don't understand what changed or how to go about fixing it. Please help, and please be patient as I am somewhat of a noob. Even though I have been lurking around for years. I would appreciate any advise or help. Thank you
