yes exactly thats what i did but i cannot boot to the usb drive it is like ignoring the usb what else can be done...

thank you for replying i cannot boot to the usb i created the usb with sudo dd if=[the raw image path] of=[my usb stick] sure it is done the right way ?

this is your image i follow every step from the very begining log in to chat download the .raw image but im asking general question how do i boot to that usb ive just created because i already have 10.6.8 and its not fresh installation thanks a lot

first i would like to say this is amazing work thank you second , im currently on 10.6.8 and created the usb with dd command but when im trying to boot from the usb i reach the familiar screen i used to have it seems like i cannot boot from the usb stick is it because im already have camilion on my hard drive? in another words, if im upgrading not installing fresh , how do i boot from usb ?
