I have a new problem now. Installed, booted up, went to install multishit and it failed to install. Ok awesome. It told me with GeForce* there was no such file or directory but the rest seemed to work I was able I reboot and got to install screen and its installing now!

So this is all new to me. So when I boot and get to clover, I go I to options and type the boot string -s and then try to load? Or so I have to type other commands to delete those kexts? (Nvidia card)

Changed my bios settings. Tried default loader and pressing 1 for the other boot loader too. WJAG else did you mean ?

i tried to enable what i saw of those. not all appeared. i think bc i have a processor with a 1333 fsb it wont give me straight options for C1E and EIST after googling I used certain strings to get the cd to boot: -f -v -x GraphicsEnable=No npci=0x2000 tried GraphicsEnable=Yes, npci=0x3000, and every combination there of that got me some friendly looking grey loading screens with lots of strings, but after about 6 of those screens it went to a black screen with messages.one of the last one was BootCacheControl: Unable to open /var/db/BootCache.playlist: 2 no such file or directory googled that a bunch but nothing working so far

can someone help a total noob out? i've only ever installed OSX (snow leopard) using an old IBOOT method. computer died, rebuilding. wanted to install Mountain Lion got the above build, loaded the raw file to a usb drive. booted up to CLOVER screen. from there if I choose "Boot MAC OSX from OSX Install DVD" the computer just reboots. I'm guessing I need to add or delete something, but have noidea how to do that. any help is greatly appreciated! system is older. contains: ASUS P5W DH Deluxe motherboard Intel Core 2 Quad 9550 NVIDIA GEFORCE 9800 GT video board
