  1. Hey, which kexts would you be looking for? Mine is pretty much a vanilla install. I don't want this thread to be filled with another person's problems, so if you open another thread and link it here, I'd be glad to help.
  2. hey artur, just an update. I got almost everything working now I just have 2 more things i'd like to inquire about. The first is the mute "red" light doesn't come on when it's muted. Is there a fix for that? Also, the brightness keys do not work. Instead, I have to set it to another key (like fn+f2 and fn+f3). My main problem now is that there is a kp when I remove NullCPUManagement. Do you know how I can remove it without the system crashing at boot? Thanks. Eddie
  3. Okay thanks, I'll look into it. I just tried deleting AppleHDA and AppleHDADisabler. The audio stays the same after multiple reboots. The brightness is still broken, but i'm currently prowling for a fix on Google.
  4. Thanks! I will get on that now. Do you have any ideas on how to fix the brightness bug? You deserve a medal for your awesomeness. EDIT: PS. This isn't related to the DSDT (or is it) but my VGA out port doesn't work. (I would like to connect to an external moniter.) There's no chance of that is there
  5. I agree, HP sucks. I want to replace the wifi card in the future, but I heard you can't, because BIOS is locked and whitelisted. Anyways, I applied the DSDT. It works wonderfully, sleep and USB 3.0 working great now. I have 2 big issues though: 1. Audio no longer works. I had to delete VoodooHDA.kext in order to boot up (otherwise there is a kernal panic.) At the moment, the audio shows mute, and I can't change it. (Picture showing it in attachment.) 2. Brightness settings WORK! However, it's weird, there are only 4 levels of brightness I can change. Meaning the slider or buttons don't make a difference until the last 4 squares. (I've attached another picture to show when the laptop is at its brightest settings.) Pictures: http://imgur.com/a/ZEENQ Thanks again for your help!
  6. Hey guys, After spending a few days trying to build my DSDT for my Hackintosh, I've given up and I'm turning to the experts. At the moment, I'm running on a laptop with the following specs: Intel Core i5 2450M (Sandy Bridge) Intel HD 3000 Graphics Motherboard: Manufacturer Hewlett-Packard Model 1793 (CPU1) Version 0692100000204710000620100 Chipset Vendor Intel Chipset Model Sandy Bridge Chipset Revision 09 Southbridge Vendor Intel Southbridge Model HM67 I'm trying to build a DSDT using the DSDT Editor, but I'm getting errors left and right. I'm trying to accomplish the following: - Backlight Control (At the moment I can't control the brightness of my hackintosh) - Sleep (It's buggy, and doesn't really work) - USB 3.0 ports are also buggy. (Crashes if ports are plugged in at boot, and after boot only USB 2.0 devices work.) I fixed most of my other issues with kexts and such. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Attached is my DSDT. It's the original copy, and hasn't been modified at all. DSDT.zip
