  1. This is newer version of the mac driver: http://www.techspot.com/drivers/driver/file/information/17112/
  2. I used the "beast" thing only to make a bootable usb installer. It just upgraded my mountain lion to mavericks with the download from the app store. don't think it changed anything else. I read the link you gave me, but I don't see anything related to my problem: as said the card works perfectly in ML, it works also in mavericks only I have to use every time the neetwork assitant to connect then it works simply ok ( except the icon in the menubar is grayed out) ( And I only upgraded my copy of ML on usb, on the harddisk of the laptop I still use ML) Think I have to wait for apple to resolve it: http://superuser.com/questions/664263/issues-connecting-to-wpa2-with-user-authentication-mavericks
  3. I upgraded from ML 10.8.5 to Mavericks with unishit method; Upgrade ok, but still have problems with my wireless: I have a BCM4312 adapter and also in ML I had to replace IO80211Family.kext with modified version to get it working. this went ok; Under ML i had also te replace airportd in /usr/libexec/airportd in order to get WPA2 working with my adapter; I did this in Mavericks but it is not ok, it works but not as it should. If I connect to an open network no problem. If I try to connect to a wpa2 protected network I have to connect manually ( by entering the requested fields) and then it works but the wireles icon in the menu bar stays greyed out and when i hoover over it with the mouse I get a spinning coloured wheel, but as I said i can connect to the internet. Already read that some real macs have problems with wpa2 too, after upgrade Any toughts? (Posting this wireless from Mavericks)
  4. When you run the chameleon installer did you eanble the options "FileNVRAM" and "SATA" in the customize menu?

  6. Tried this already?: https://www.macupdate.com/app/mac/41017/sound-blaster-recon-3d
  7. I have an HP6540eb laptop, ML is installed on it and works fine, except if I put it into sleep it doesn't wake up, the screen stays black. I chameleon I already tried with darkwake=no specs of the laptop: Processor 1,5 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo Memory 2 GB 666 MHz DDR2 SDRAM Graphics HP GeForce 8400M GS 128 MB Software OS X 10.8.5 (12F37) I use a custom dsdt, file attached. Any idea? DSDT.aml.zip
  8. Ok, Mirone thanks again. I will have a look, seems quite complicated for me, but will read carefully. but don't I need output from verbit? (that was gving me an error that's why I asked here in the first place) also found this, don't know if it can be used : http://www.hardwaresecrets.com/datasheets/ALC268_Sound.pdf
  9. @Mirone Tried this but no succes, this time no audio devices found, I get this messages during boot: Sound assertion in AppleHDADriver at line 2180 Sound assertion in AppleHDADriver at line 215 Sound assertion in AppleHDADriver at line 1053
  10. Mirone, first of all many thanks for the efforts, I tried and it partially works: I have sound when I plug in my headphone ( not very loud, but very clear), from the speakers I don't get sound. Also the internal microphone doens't work ( shows up in system preferences and I can move volume slider) This I what I get in system preferences: Devices: Built-in Microphone: Default Input Device: Yes Input Channels: 2 Manufacturer: Apple Inc. 11. I have working mountain lion on my HP6550eb laptop. Iuse custom dsdt and voodoohda 2.8.4. sounds works but I would prefer a patched applehda. I tried to follow the codecgraph guide, but verbit gave this error: "ERROR: This doesn't appear to be an alsa codec dump file Codec: Realtek ALC268 Address: 0 AFG Function Id: 0x1 (unsol 1)" Attached codecdump and dsdt.aml CodecDump.zip DSDT.aml.zip
  12. No, I am tryiing to install ML 10.8.2, but I still get the same problem when I tried to install Lion (without modified DSDT) Sure it is related to the internal intel 3000HD ( only videocard present); Hoped the modified dsdt.aml would have resolved this, but no avail, anayway thanks a lot for the effort, will try again
  13. Thanks, it boots, but still get the black screen , same as appeared with the lion installation without modified dsdt.aml
  14. After installing ML succesfullym with patched dsdt thanks a lot to this board, I would like to install ML on my suns laptop a Toshiba C670-13T. Lion could be installed on this laptop, but there were issues, the internal videocard HD3000m normally native supported gave black screen, only removing the 3000 kexts helped, but of course only bad resolution, sound worked with voodoo, but a little bit crackled. I added the dsdt.aml and the output of lspci, Would be nice if we could get this to workm thanks on the beforehand main specs 02:00.0 Network controller: Realtek Semiconductor Co., Ltd. 15. arthur-pt wrote: With the modified dsdt.aml and the instructions, my system is much better now, the brightness can be set, the boot time is much faster (doesn't have to load the kexts on each boot, and the right usb port is still working) Only thing I lost apparently: before I had the percentage of the battery in the status bar, don't have that anymore, thanks for the nice work!
