When using this guide I was able to get OS X 10.8.2 on my Sony Vaio VPCSB1X9E (Intel i5 2410, AMD HD 6470 hybrid Intel HD 3000). If I have read the first pages correctly then this installer is not that much different fro the app you can download from the Apple store. I had to remove the ATI, Intel HD and nVidia kexts, the kernel cache and the AppleHPET.kext for USB. Hereafter I could install OS X but the video resolution was fixed at 1024x768 although I needed 1366x768 (I know the best match is 1280x768) I wanted to start all over again with tonycraps unishit and multishit because they should be easy to fix the resolution problem. Another problem was that I could only boot from the USB stick, not from the harddisk. But whatever boot option I tried I could not reinstall with unishit, it always ended in a black screen without even showing the installation screen. What exactly are the differences between the unishit with the installer app for 10.8.2 and the one in the torrent? What are possible solutions for the boot problem? What solution are there for the resolution problem. Is it possible to set up a unishit manually with the torrent installer? Can I use tonycraps multishit after the torrent installer ? I know there are other problems specific for the sony VAiO and I already have some answers but not yet all of them, look here or elsewhere?
