  1. Mirone, having used your kext for a few days now, using skype and such I can say again you've made my Mountain Lion experience very enjoyable... I asked about mic quality chatting to someone on skype and they said it was perfect. Everything is working perfectly fine. Thanks again for the very nice work!
  2. Thanks for the update. Hardware showing when I boot up (system pref)> Input: Boomdevice Output: internal speakers (No internal mic shows, not even sure if it should tbh) When I plugin my logtiech USB headset: Input: Boomdevice USB headset Output: Internal speakers Boomdevice USB headset Testing the USB headset shows that sound output is as supposed to be... Sounds fine. Testing the Mic from the headset it works and is fine although even with input volume turned all the way dow there is a humming sound but that probably has nothing to do with the HDA. When I plug in a external headphones into the small jack the sound plays fine and it works and shows the Headphones description in the system prefs (and the boomdevice). However when i slightly move the plug it appears to be disconnected so it seems the plug port isn't really good anymore. I currently seem to have no working Mic for the minijack at hand so I cannot test that atm. But I'm happy with the results.. Everything I need seems to be working as expected
  3. Great stuff....! Keep up the amazing work! I'm so much loving my install now with everything I need fully working (well except for the nasty non working G73JH keyboard backlight etc but still). Can't believe how much joy it gives to have full working stereo sound!
  4. Boom works absolutely perfect for iTunes (yeh i know about the built in itunes equilizer but wanted something that would equalize all mac sound). This seems to do the trick. Although i can get no sound from youtube with it but i'l figure that out. The last file you gave me to test the internal mic gave me that kernel panic and i'm thinking i should not test it anymore as my headset and internal sound is now working perfect with your 1st files and as i would probably not go using the internal mic anyway. I would hate to brake something else. I would love to know what you did to make it work so i could possibly dive it in myself and prevent future problems but again many thanks. There is nothing more I could want now from my lovely new Mac. >> ok the no sound on youtube with boom is a google chrome issue as it works fine on safari... >>> fixed that... seems you have to disable the 1st of 2 plugins and have shockwave play it. COOL
  5. I just tested the mic from the USB headset with audacity and it seems to be working perfect. That was with your original (1st) files so i guess everything is fine now.. I don't really care about the internal mic as I don't think i will ever use it. The one question remains.. Is there any way to give the sound from the internal speaker more bass? Not sure if there is anything like a mixer for mac that will allow you to change the sound of anything that is played over the internal speaker. The sound sound has a lot of trebble but no bass it seems.. But in any case... your work has giving me a working speaker and headset so you are my hero
  6. Uhm.. how would i make a screenshot when the OS in't booted up? Or do you mean a screenshot with a camera?
  7. Unfortunately using the last DSDT is giving me kernel panic so i can't use it...
  8. Wow and WOW.... .I have internal sound over speakers.. My Logitech headset seems to be working fine. I haven't tested skype or mic yet but wow what incredible progress. Internal mic doesn't show up but still.. (sorry i was wrong the internal mic shows up but doesn't appear to be working.. i will test further.. but i could live with that as i never use the internal mic anyway) And you were so fast I didn't even expect a reply so soon. The thing i find is that the sound over internal speakers is very flat, a lot of trebble absolutely no base.. Is there any way to change these settings somehow? One question about the modifications you made to the DSDT.aml file. Am i to assume that you only changed the HDEF part? I didn't get sleep working on my laptop so far so i basically disabled it. Or should i try it again? Thanks a bunch.. My ML life has now become almost perfect. >> Ok a bit more testing (stil haven't tested mic tho) is that when i unplug my headset from the USB port i can get no more sound from the internal speakers.. Weird. And even weirder.. I get no sound anymore after a reboot even... that is with the headset unplugged >> Screatch the last remarks. I think it was me messing with midi setup and setting output to 96K hz that made it stop working.
  9. Hello Mirone, I've seen you work absolute miracles for others solving their sound problems. I've been scrating my head trying to get sound to work on an otherwise fine working Mountain Lion 10.8.2 installation on a Asus G73JH. Any appleHDA file i've tried (and i've tried a lot) shows various information in the system info but nothing ever shows up in system preferences and nothing works. Not sure if you are willing to give it a shot but would be really greatful if you could have a look at the codecdump.. Thanks in advance SL codecdump.txt.zip DSDT.aml.zip
