Hi, Not about disabling nvidia. I booted without dropping tables while nvidia is enabled in BIOS and without kernel flag to disable it. Still the issue is there. It has to be something when the display is called to wake up but I don't know where to look. Thanks anyway,

Hi, first thank you. Secondly, I see you patched IGPU and HDAU in claen ACPI. The DSDT you sent me made me lost QE/CI and I had to replace ig-platform-id from 0x0A, 0x26, 0x22, 0x06 to 0x06, 0x00, 0x26, 0x0A and then graphics worked (as I had them before because I already set the ig-platform-id in Clover). However, the issue persist regarding graphics distortion after display sleep/wake (not necessarily system sleep, just display). Also restart is still lost with this DSDT. Is there a method in DSDT regarding graphics wake up? Regards,

Hi all, I'm running OS X 10.10 on my Lenovo Y510P. I've been trying to fix many things and got some success but I have few problems regarding display sleep. Any action that set display to sleep (via hot corners for example) results in these problems when display return on: Restart is not functioning (system halt with display off but fan and light are on). Shutdown works fine though. Graphics are partially distorted like reverting to 16-bit colors and it's very noticable in launchpad and while playing videos. Only fixed by turning system off/on again. (Screenshoot) Though I was able to fix my DSDT to sleep/wake successfully, the display sleep issue affects the whole system sleep/wake since it's part of the process. Please help me to figure out how to solve these (just hints no need to patch anything for me, I need to understand). Currently I've few edits on my DSDT. Graphics (mobile IntelHD 4600) is patched through Clover (in addition to patching OpenCL). Attached is my clean ACPI, my currently modefied ACPI, and SendMe zip. Regards, Ahmed ACPI-Clean.zip ACPI-Patched-Current.zip Send me Lenovo-PC.zip

Thanks for the reply. I applied 7-series/8-series usb, Haswell LPC, and SMBUS Fix from Rehabman repository. AppleLPC loaded OK No more EHC1/2 assertions. System does show the same console output for sleep or wake. Sleep fails with error code:0x1011F006700 then I find clover want to wake OS X from hibernate. Why does it go for hibernate instead of soft sleep?

Well, I've BIG problem. I don't know what happened, but out of a sudden sleep refused to work again neither with clean dsdt, nor with the one that worked earlier. The system prepare for sleep with screen off for 30-40 seconds. It powers down to a 'sleep-like' state then wakes up immediately but not to desktop, it reboots. It reboot and try to wake up from a hibernate and fail to boot. Thanks, So this is the graphics patch in ssdt-0: Method (_DSM, 4, NotSerialized) { If (LEqual (Arg2, Zero)) { Return (Buffer (One) { 0x03 }) } Return (Package (0x04) { "AAPL,ig-platform-id", Buffer (0x04) { 0x0A, 0x26, 0x22, 0x06 }, "hda-gfx", Buffer (0x0A) { "onboard-1" } }) } I was wondering about the ig-platform-id as I know it's 0x0A268086 not 0x0A262206. Is this correct or something I don't understand?

Hi No I don't have this kext installed (I have it stored other place). By the way, The last DSDT+SSDT-0 you sent me: Showed the brightness slider. Changed something in power management so that sleep is made possible (with need to some fixes of course). Changed something in power management so that Restart no longer works as it was. Graphics sometimes feels like using 16-bit colors and have to restart to fix it temporarily but again it get distorted after some time. So I switch back to default DSDT and trying to figure out how to edit it without the side effects. Could you share what you changed inside the DSDT and SSDT-0? Thanks

Hi, thanks for the reply. I only use WiFi and since I disabled "Wake for network access" I got rid of the Ethernet assertion: Kernel Assertions: 0x100=MAGICWAKE id=503 level=255 0x100=MAGICWAKE mod=01/01/1970 01:00 description=en1 owner=en1 I don't have it any more which is good. Okay, it seems it sleep fine but takes much time ~20 sec. (I searched and found this normal for 10.9 so it might be the same for 10.10) I fixed one problem with waking by turning off "Wake for network access" but it still wakes up immediately because of bluetooth. I turned off "Allow Bluetooth devices to wake this computer" but it doesn't fix it. It looks like a problem with the bluetooth kext (I have BCM4352 and use Bluetooth Firmware Uploader http://forum.osxlatitude.com/index.php?/topic/2925-bluetooth-firmware-uploader/ ) Going to remove that kext and test sleep/wake again.

Hi, First thanks for the reply even if helped or not. Just to let you know I want to do everything by my hand and I'm not happy if you, or anybody else, do anything for me. However, I'm not expert like millions others and I'll appreciate if anybody is willing to give me a hand on what to do. Hello. Thanks for this. I used both and I noticed one thing only changed that is the Brightness Control shown up in System Preferences > Display. However it is not functioning neither using the slider nor using key combination of course (I tried a couple of ACPIBacklid.kext). Still no sleep. And I don't know why I need to inject applehda? I'm using voodooHDA .. I'd like to use native kext of course but at least I've a working sound for now so I'm trying to focus on more serious problems. Thanks

Hi all, I'm testing 10.10 beta on Lenovo Y510P and I'm having a 'working' system. I'm missing some functionality and I guess it's time for some DSDT patching so I started looking here. What I'm missing is: Sleep: my system only turn off display when I click set OS X to sleep, then any button or mouse click will turn display on again but it never sleep actually. Sleep on LID close: assuming sleep would work, fixing this would be a great addition! Restart: it works sometimes, but not always. sometimes it put the system into unusable state where display is off but computer still running and it keep like that. Graphics glitches: I was able to inject graphics card (Intel HD 4600) device ID into Clover and I have QE/CI with 1536MB which is fine. But I have some glitches in few apps and log-in screen, can a DSDT patch fix that? Brightness control: I don't have the slider in System Preferences > Display Brightness control via key combination is a great addition! I know these are much, but any fix would be appreciated. And yes I know 10.10 is still in beta and is not bug free, but most of these problems appeared to me with Mavericks as well, After all, a DSDT is a DSDT and have o be fixed and patched if it's not that good. Attached is both Send me and my ACPI files. Thanks in advance Regards Ahmed ACPI.zip Send me Lenovo-PC.zip
