Can you post an excerpt? I don't see any differences, at least not with the new DSDT version i uploaded yesterday. Also replace the line where you find "Name (RAMB,". That is all.
-
Can you post an example? Usually I would say yes, it might just be a different format / optimisation caused by different iasl versions. - Updated the first post with a new DSDT and audio extension.
-
That and your own modifications if you have any.
-
Your BIOS settings have no influence on the DSDT content.
-
You're right. Good to know VT-x doesn't cause any trouble, though. Why don't use use the DSDT I already uploaded?
-
Thanks for the info. Thats interesting. I always had it enabled and it never caused problems.
-
If it's "this is an unknown CPU model ..", you can ignore it. It is not an error. I can only tell you that it is probably he HD4000. I can't help you with this as I never set it up myself. Your best chance is to find some tutorial and if you don't succeed, open a new thread with the issue.
-
Theoretically you can but it just makes the whole process more complicated. Do you see any error messages in verbose mode (-v) ? Safe mode avoids loading additional extensions but as you installed only the FakeSMC, it must be some Apple extension. Most probably the freeze is related to the video card. I guess now is the point to make it work. Don't you have any dedicated video card? Safe mode is a good start though. Leave the DSDT aside for now, unless you make any edits that are directly related to the freeze. Also SMBIOS; you can set it up when you can boot normally.
-
You should just install with Chameleon and switch to Clover after you get a running system. I already told you to test Clover on a thumb drive first so you find out the settings you need.
-
If you got no patched kext in your Extensions folder, then it works. Also remove NullCPUPowerMagagement and others you may have installed to patch power management. If it doesn't work, Mac won't boot and you will see a message saying something about power management.
-
"biosrefl" to flash BIOS region, see section 5.2 for a description.
-
It would perhaps be faster to create a bootable DOS thumb drive and run FTK there. Never did it myself though from Mac.
-
It preserves everything. Its just modifies the power management module.
-
If you haven't got windows, create a thumb drive with DOS and do it from there. I advise you to check the ROMs you download as they can contain the serial number, MAC address and other things of the people who uploaded them. When you flash such a ROM you will lose your own data. EDIT: What should theoretically work is you upload your dcpimanager rom which should be able to be modified with PMPatch and you can flash it back. It will contain your serial numbers which won't be a problem.
-
Did you try to use it with administrative rights? If it still fails, you should report is as a bug in the PMPatch thread. Anyway, I assume you got the P8Z77-V LK and not the P8Z77-V LK2: http://www.sendspace.com/file/uzxhbo Download the extensions yourself, you just need to visit each site and find the download link. I did not make a ready-to-go package because new versions of these tools - especially of HWSensors - are made very often. If you got any question on how to modify or install them, feel free to ask. Marginal note: I found the AppleHDA from current multishit working very well. You should use it if possible and change "layout-id" of device HDEF to 1 in DSDT (0x01, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00). I've seen many threads reporting success with the HD4000, you should be able to do it. Also I would recommend you to have a working system before trying Clover UEFI. That way you will know what problems it causes and which not.
-
As long as it starts booting, you should be fine. You should use the hidden fat32 partition. Windows also stores its bootloader there for instance. You can try doing a CMOS reset to be sure the modified BIOS gets initialized completely. I guess you are trying to use the original power management files now? Make sure you don't have any patched extensions left like NullCPUPowerManagement. Which extension causes the KP?
-
You can find the driver here: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/282787-clover-v2-instructions/#entry1852894 Use DSDT Editor from the link section. You don't need to integrate the DSDT back into the BIOS. Clover (and other bootloaders) can drop the old table and use your modified one instead.

You should read this post: http://www.projectosx.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=2428&st=240&p=18682entry18682 Basically test it on a thumb drive first. When you get it working, copy the files to your EFI partition. No need for any boot sectors with UEFI. In drivers64UEFI you need to have: - OsxFatBinaryDrv-64.efi (actually don't know what that one does) - OsxAptioFixDrv-64.efi (is needed for Aptio UEFI boards like ours) - HFSPlus-64.efi Important: slide=0 in the boot arguments. Otherwise you won't be able to boot Mac. drivers32 and drivers64 are not used in UEFI mode, you may as well delete them both. That's how my config file currently looks like:
-
Correct. Additionally a modified ATI7000Controller to get more ports working. It's actually very easy. Get a BIOS file from asus.com and use PMPatch to modify it. In the end use FTKToolkit - read section 5.2 on http://hardforum.com/showthread.php?t=1726429 - to flash the new modified BIOS. That should be all. PS: Edited the first post and added a link to the FTK Toolkit.
-
I'm using it with UEFI now and it seems stable but I didn't test long enough yet. I don't know which video card you are using but it will work with the integrated HD4000 as it got UEFI GOP support. Can't help you with the setup though as I use a Radeon HD 7870. Personally I would not use multishit but instead install all extensions by yourself. It is possible Sleep works with 10.8.2 and the modified DSDT, I didn't test it.
-
You don't have to pay anything. While 10.8.3 is developed you should read through the threads I linked in the first post and get an idea of how things work. It really isn't hard and the Z77 boards are very compatible to Mac in first place anyway.

Yes: ssdt-0.aml, ssdt-1.aml. Don't drop existing SSDTs in Chameleon. They are for the i5-3570k and will enable the turbo state of 3,8GHz if you use the iMac13,1 SMBIOS.
-
The name is cosmetic. You can search your DSDT for "XFX Radeon HD 7870" and replace it with anything you want. Good to know you got everything working. EDIT: You might want to try to setup SSDTs next: http://Olarila.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=22414#p22414

I can boot with the PCIE setting but you have to inject the framebuffer either with Chameleon or via DSDT. The ACPI tables including DSDT you can extract from your BIOS were made with a compiler from 2005 so some things might be interpreted differently now and it is not guaranteed to be completely bug free either. Try to set it to PCIE and disable Virtu MVP so only the AMD card is enabled. Where does it hang exactly? Do you see any errors?
