  1. =================================================================== ASUS ProArt Z890 Creator WiFi - Complete Hackintosh BIOS Settings =================================================================== 1. BOOT & SYSTEM SECURITY ------------------------------------------------------------------- - Fast Boot : Disabled (Allows full hardware & PCIe device enumeration at POST) - CSM (Compatibility Support) : Disabled (Forces pure UEFI boot mode required by OpenCore) - Secure Boot > OS Type : Other OS (Prevents motherboard firmware from blocking OpenCore) - CFG Lock (MSR 0xE2) : Disabled (Allows macOS kernel to write to power management registers) 2. CPU POWER MANAGEMENT & CORE TUNING ------------------------------------------------------------------- - ASUS MultiCore Enhancement : Disabled - Enforce All Limits (Prevents unstable overboosting/thermal throttling across cores) - Active P-Cores : All (Forces motherboard to expose all 8 Performance cores) - Active E-Cores : All (Forces motherboard to expose all 16 Efficiency cores) - CPU C-States : Enabled (Allows standard CPU power management) - Package C-State Limit : C6 or C7 (Disables deep C8-C10 states that cause watchdog timeouts) - Intel SpeedShift (HWP) : Enabled (Allows dynamic frequency/voltage scaling across threads) 3. PCIE & LINK POWER MANAGEMENT (ASPM) ------------------------------------------------------------------- - Above 4G Decoding : Enabled (Allocates 64-bit PCI BAR memory space for dGPU) - Re-Size BAR Support : Disabled (Prevents memory mapping panics under macOS) - Primary Display : PEG / PCIe Slot (Forces primary display output through dedicated GPU) - Native ASPM : Disabled (Prevents OS-level PCIe link timeouts) - DMI Link ASPM : Disabled (Keeps CPU-to-chipset bus active during high CPU load) - PEG - ASPM : Disabled (Keeps GPU PCIe slot at full power to prevent Metal freezes) 4. INTEGRATED PERIPHERALS & ONBOARD DEVICES ------------------------------------------------------------------- - Intel 2.5Gb Ethernet Controller : Disabled (Bypasses problematic Intel 2.5G NIC; use 10Gb Marvell port) - Serial / COM Port : Disabled (Prevents legacy serial resource conflicts with macOS) 5. VIRTUALIZATION ------------------------------------------------------------------- - Intel (VMX) Virtualization : Enabled (Preserved for hypervisors and virtual machines) - VT-d (Directed I/O) : Enabled (Managed alongside OpenCore DisableIoMapper / AppleVTD) =========================================================
  2. No, a lot of things had to go be changed on bios. Especially the ones related to power management to the processor to get all the cores fire up..this was so stubborn to get moving. But finally it started working though. Let me see if I can share a full set of things I changed on bios ina bit..
  3. Everything works just fine including the 10g ethernet and 2.5g ethernet not working as I have not swapped the card.. 99% of things seems to be working including the full clock speeds of the processor. But when ever I try scrubbing through a heavy after effects projects timeline, system freezes. Any idea what's going on and how to fix? Already tried a custom dmar table. That didn't help.
  4. I finally got it installed. Not through usb though. I mounted the nvme to an external enclosure and installed it from my friends ventura hackintosh directly to the external nvme. Post the installation, I simply copied the efi configuration that earlier got me into the gui of the installer from the usb( though installation got stuck at 16 minutes remaining on multiple attempts..while extracting the updatebundle..) I moved the nvme back to the internal m2 slot after that and smoothly finished the initial user account setup and and later worked on stabilizing different aspects like ethernet, power management, verifying gpu stability etc. I don't have bluetooth or wifi yet. I can get it to work once I get a separate network card and swap out the default one that comes with the motherboard. There was trouble with sleep mode and hence, switched off all sleep modes using terminal and then only set a screensaver. I will provide detailed instructions later this week once am fully recovered from this pain I have been through from the last 3 weeks! Final verdict- possible to run sequoia 15.7.7 on asus ProArt z890 and Intel Core Ultra 9 285K not the typical way though. Used Opencore 1.0.8
  5. Oh okay. In that case, please call out the challenges in the title of this post please.because its misleading..easy to think that this article has some solutions..especially when you later mentioned all problems with the motherboard has been dealt with the last built comment.
  6. Can you share the process you followed for this exact build that you mentioned in this thread and how you got it to work? I think only the gpu is different. But my gpu can work with a spoof I believe? Am not sure how to resolve this. Or should I be connecting with you privately to resolve this? Would you be comfortable sharing the EFI folder that worked for you? The bios version I have is 2302.
  7. This is my specs: Asus ProArt Z890 Creator Wifi Motherboard Intel Core 9 Ultra 285K Sapphire Nitro+ RX 6950 XT WD Black SN7100 1TB Is it possible for a hackintosh to be installed on this configuration? I was trying to install macos Sequoia 15.7.7 and getting stuck at DSMOS has arrived. Not sure if it's to do with PciRoot path for the gpu? Wish I saw your post earlier which said not to go with this mobo. Any insights? Please let me know if you need any further details? Any help please.. been stuck on this from last 4 weeks.
