Thx for the fast reply. I did read the linked article but how do I know what kind of patch I need? Is it just try and error? I mean the patches in the editor folder are poorly described/dokumented for whats they are for. Or can I see maybe in logfiles where something fails and I can apply a patch and so on?

Hi, I hope you guys dont rip me in half. I would like to build my first DTDT but I am not sure what Patches I need. I extracted my DSDT with the editor and applied the soundcard patch ALC889 and compiled it. After that I hit the button "fix errors". It did fix 333 errors but I guess thats not enough. Do I need to add patches like DTGP.txt or EHCI.txt or RTC.txt and so on (i.e. ethernet)? How do I know what patches I need? I know that my mobo is not in the list (MSI H55M-E33) but I would like to get my hands on this. My rig specs are: i3-550 (HD3000) 8GB Ram 1333 ATI 5770 Sound ALC889 Ethernet RTL8111 Thx for any direction.
