  1. Drift Boss The “HID: Legacy shim 2” message usually appears during macOS installation or boot when input drivers (keyboard/mouse) are being initialized. On Hackintosh setups, if it hangs at that point, it’s often because of: Missing or incorrect USB-related settings, macOS requires proper USB mapping; if USB ports aren’t correctly configured, the installer can freeze. Using XhciPortLimit or improper USB kexts can cause this.

  3. Geometry Dash OpenCore uses more accurate macOS boot argument handling and proper ACPI injection, which makes it better aligned with Apple’s native boot process than Clover. If you want to stick with Clover, you’d need to: Verify proper ig-platform-id and device-id injection. Ensure FakePCIID or WhateverGreen is fully updated and configured. Add Clover’s quirks equivalents (harder since Clover doesn’t fully support modern OpenCore quirks).
