  1. Ok so I got my original working by setting mountain line as the primary partition in chameleon wizard. my harddrives are set as external in disk utility they are orange. Also I have slow usb speeds. Also sleep doesnt work. My NTFS was using tuxera but that stopped working with ML so I have installed Paragon NTFS9.
  2. How do I update my kext cache on mountain lion from my snow leopard install?
  3. Ok, I will keep you posted. Thanks for your help so far.
  4. I have run multishit and that installed some kexts I got the DSDT for my motherboard and used the userdsdt option also installed audio kext ALC889 and that's when it installed chimera too.
  5. Chameleon photo https://www.dropbox.com/s/8gphnsdacg9noh3/2012-11-13%2018.15.24.jpg Stuck at screen https://www.dropbox.com/s/5vjv12a8jnsbi89/2012-11-13%2018.19.02.jpg
  6. Install definitely completed I have booted it a few times using a unishit boot usb. Cant seem to get a bootloader to stick though. Will try chameleon now.
  7. I dont know how to, when I boot from my usb disk it comes up with the graphic panel and says to use the install or to use uefi? It doesn't give an option to boot mountain lion. https://www.dropbox.com/s/mbyxmeci2pxr3am/2012-11-13%2017.59.31.jpg
  8. Ok I have just downloaded chameleon wizard and installed it on both partitions now when I try to load mountain lion with chameleon 2.2svn r2116 is says 'Cant find Press a key to continue' but snow leopard boots fine after a restart.
  9. I am not bothered which bootloader is used I have no preference. Can I uninstall bootloaders and just use the one you would advise?
  10. I have also installed chimera 1.11.1 on my original snow leopard install. So 2 partitions one with snow leopard 10.6.8 and chimera 1.11.1 the other partition with 10.8.2 and chimera 1.11.1 r1394 installed. So looks like the same bootloader. So when I boot my computer, chimera 1.11.1 starts and automatically tries to boot my Snow Leopard drive I press a button to stop this select my mountain lion drive, it flicks to a black screen and then comes back to chimera like it hasn't been able to boot it, now if I goto snow leopard at this step to try to boot, I get a kernel panic. Restart the computer and leave chimera to do its thing and start Snow leopard as the default and Snow leopard boots fine with no kernel panic this time.
  11. How do I find out? I downloaded the most recent multishit and installed the bootloader that came with that.
  12. there is no error just when i select the mountain lion it flicks to a black screen then flicks back to the bootloader screen.
  13. Got the 10.8.2 version last night plugged it in worked without having to do any commands, installed nicely booted up great, now I just have to figure out howto boot it without usb since I have a chameleon install on the snow leopard and that wont start my mountain lion up, I have installed chimera on both the snow leopard partition and the mountain lion partition and still cant get it to boot up unfortantely. Any ideas on this?
  14. Been on that same screen for a while now, no change!
