Hey, So I am new to all this. I have successfully gotten Mountain Lion 10.8.2 running, my video card seems to be working properly except for one major annoyance...
Here are my system Specs
OS: OS X Mountain Lion 10.8.2
CPU: Intel i7-2600k 3.20GHz
MOBO: Gigabyte GA-Z68MA-DH2-B3 BIOS: U1b
RAM: AMD Performance Edition 4x4GB DDR3 @ 1600MHz
Video: AMD Radeon HD 5870
Monitor: SyncMaster 305t via DVI-D (no other options only has DVI-D in)
HDD: Patriot Pyro SE 120GB SSD, 2 x 2TB Segate HDDs
From power on I get signal showing my Bios screen, followed by the boot menu then the grey apple screen and logo.
This is when things get wired, i loose video screen goes black.
I then have to unplug my monitor and plug it back into the graphics card and then it all works as normal.
One odd thing to me happens though, if I add a second monitor by using an HDMI plug into a toshiba 24" LED TV and have my main
monitor plugged into the DVI port then everything works as it should. Without the second monitor via HDMI I get the black screen...
any suggestions?
Oh my video card has been added to my DSDT so i have a very small boot.plist which is as follows
