  1. [ Sorry if this is in the wrong sub-forum, I am unsure which one was for asking for help, and this seemed like the one ] Hello, I am trying to install macOS Sequioa on my laptop (bare-metal install, no VM) but during the installation process my laptop suddenly reboots, and starts up again. This means I lose all my progress in installing macOS. I have done the following steps before this happens: Downloaded the vanilla image of macOS Sequoia (tried both 15.5 and 15.2) from the Vanilla Images page Used balenaEtcher to write to USB Replaced the EFI with the relevant modded OpenCore EFI (Notebook, Whiskey Lake) from the modded EFI page. Changed Laptop's BIOS config (SecureBoot off, Intel VT-d off) Plugged this USB into the Laptop and booted from it. Selected "Install macOS Sequoia" In the macOS Recovery Manager, erased my SSD and reformatted it to APFS Then selected the install button The installation proceeds like normal, but when the progress bar is ~70% done, the system reboots and I have to start all over. I have tried: Changing the version of macOS Sequoia Changing to macOS Sonoma Wiping partitions with GParted In case it is relevant: CPU is Intel i7 8th gen (Whiskey Lake according to CPUID) - Compatitable with macOS Sequoia Laptop is Lenovo Thinkpad X1 Carbon Any help would be much appreciated. Following this tutorial, since I am very new to this:
