I know this is a stretch but can you please tell me if you remember of course how did you solve this issue, I am experiencing the same problem right now but I can't seem to find a solution no matter what I try. I have your exact hardware and the exact problem black screen on the built in display but external monitor is working like a charm. thank you in advance
