OpenCore High Sierra Z77MX-QUO-AOS GFX card problem
kjFurl replied to kjFurl's topic in DSDT Patch Requests
I HAVE gotten INTEL 4000 hd working now WITH the Nvidia Geforce card for multiple monitors! THANKS! 1. I could not figure out correct terms for inject instructions so I used Hackintool to make a config list instruction (see attached config file) for the INTEL to load onboard and it worked as the 'first" gpu then the Nvidia native drivers kick in (I think). All works well 2. Could not get Hotswap sata working so I have swapped out an AppleHCIPort Kext In for an earlier version from High Sierra which now works fine in S/L/E except ALL discs are now shown as Exterior Orange even startup disc but not an issue for me 3. Having an issue with Sleep via menu command. Computer does not really sleep power down by command but DOES sleep power down when energy saver time is reached. 4. Did not generate a SSDT for power management but used one from IDENTICAL motherboard found on another site. 5. So now using your DSDT and working SSDT but have it seems long boot time with -v showing "looking for .. not found" error no file found etc.. Is there a way to clean up all those Looking for commands as it seems the Working Clover method might have loaded a bit faster. ( I'd like to streamline the OC build because will eventually upgrade to much more recent OSX when I'm finished with older project) attached is anyfile with ioreg as you asked and working config list I also changed model type to Imac13.1 which may be more "friendly to multi-gpu's" per separate research. thanks for any tips !!! OpenCore High Sierra Z77MX-QUO-AOS GFX card problem

Hi the first section attempt does not work.. Not sure about bios setting as I do not have a choice to only "use DGPU abd enable IGPU on BIOS only for H264(Hardware Accel". Only setting is to switch INIT Graffics to IGPU and use PEG or set it too AUTO other then that I can enable INTERNAL graffics to disable enable or Auto as well . .If IGPU turned off then yes Card will work.. but only if I have cable installed into card and as you say Nothing in IGPU.. But then still have original problem which is I can't use IGPU as well like it should work as Mac High Sierra allows. (card is native vanilla accepted under OSX10.13.6 and DOES work tandem if I use Clover method I sent copy of) Not sure how to "use DGPU abd" ? As for trying other method Where do: -Ivybridge... IntelGFX 0x0016... etc go? In Boot args? Somewhere in Config.list? As I said before removing whatevergreen boot kext DOES allow me to boot with Card installed and IGPU loading and working fine. but then Card does not work when a cable is plugged in.. I think I read where you said High Sierra does not "like" whatevergreen if using a mac supported Nvidia card. ? Thanks for any clarification more donation on the way. Kevin Update.. I think I found out where to install above in DeviceProperties list on Config,, but unsure how to modify.. Integers as DATA or STRING etc.?. Below PCI 0x0x... etc? Is -IvyBridge an "add" array? etc. -

OpenCore High Sierra Z77MX-QUO-AOS GFX card problem

Here is the error message if the board is installed under OC boot with no hdmi cable plugged in.. I have tried a LOT of solutions such as boot arg messages trying to change LILU options etc but if I actually remove the WhateverGreen kext it DOES boot.. but then no Geforce graffics are enabled. continued upload of other EFI OPENcore NOGX card working IGU.zip -
Can not boot system with opencore Ivybridge with GFX card installed unless HDMI cable is plugged in and ONLY GFU graffics are then enabled Then INTEL hd 4000 IGU does not work. If Cable is unplugged System does not load at all regardless of Bios init display settings I get "waiting for debugger connection" boot hang It DOES work under a Clover install and both GPU and INTEL IGPU then both work. I'd like to get a very clean simple stripped down version of OC working for this board which is very Mac friendly as most items work as stock Mac hardware. (it was originally designed as a hackintosh board) enclosed is the working clover dump which allows both graffic systems to mount and be used natively by mac system. also the OC working dump that allows ONLY the GX card to work (if an hdmi is plugged into it at start) but then no INTEL IGpU is working also the OC dump of the working INTEL ONLY working that boots if I unplug the Geforce card. I could not install OSX under OC and had to install a clover install then swap out efi for the Ivybridge EFI from this site. Working Clover dump-iMac.zip openCoreGFU but no IGU.zip

Having trouble getting My older but Mac supported Geforce card running along with Integrated Graffics at the same time It DOES work and load fine under my preferred High Sierra 10.13.6 system using CLOVER bootloader now after a few restarts now loads fine under Clover. But for stability I'm trying to convert installation over to OpenCore bootloader. I have used generic IvyBridge copy of OC EFI from this site but when trying to boot up with GX card installed I get "waiting for debugger connection" freeze". (it does load if card with HDMI Plugged in but then no Integrated INTEL works. If I pull out card regular bootup occurs with INTEL HD 4000 working FINE but I need to also have Geforce Card working for future monitor set up. Under the Original CLOVER EFI both Intel graffics AND Geforce card and graffics work fine and Mac system identifies both so `i can mirror several screens One with intel and one out of HDMI from card. I need to run High Sierra for awhile yet to work with some legacy software. The mother board is noted in my profile and is very MAC or hackintosh friendly and both graffics "should" load and work OOTB as they do under my Clover install. Can someone identify what is wrong with my OC efi or is it because original installation was done under Clover with just EFI being swapped out to OpenCore later. `(I have also tried to do an install with opencore efi but it did not seem to make a difference.
