    You have to download GenSMBIOS (google it) and select your config.plist in your USB EFI folder. To generate a new SMBIOS you must write the model you want, I used MacBookPro13,1

    Sorry if it was a basic question, I'm really new to this world. I followed your solution and chose a supported smbios and finally have a new Monterey up and running smoothly. Thanks for the support, much apreciate it.

    Exactly the same problem, can't select disk where I want to install MacOS. Disk formatted as APFS and selected GUID Partition Map.
