Which option from the top of Chameleon wizard do i use? Folder on disk, Buildbot, Drop Box or Built in? Ok so i tried to boot with "GraphicsEnabler=Yes AtiConfig=Gubba". I got stuck on the screenshot above. Any ideas?

So you're saying if i boot from USB using "GraphicsEnabler=Yes AtiConfig=Cayman" my video should work fine? I've edited the ATI6000Controller.kext and the AMDRadeonAccelerator.kext to support my Video card. Ive not installed ATIRadeonx3000 as the video thread says to use AMDRadeonAccelerator.kext for 10.8. Did you get anything of the image above?

Yippie! Got Audio working by removing the Nodes to patch entry Now, Video is remaining. As i didnt get a confirmation earlier, i wanna know if i need Chameleon for video to work? Im getting options now to install chameleon, once i moved those files from my windows ntfs drives to the mac drive. Its able to detect the target partition now. So i can install it. But just to let you know, I've already installed all the video kexts:- ATI6000Controller.kext -- Got a HD6950 ATISupport.kext AMDRadeonAccelerator.kext ATIFramebuffer.kext But it gets stuck on the following screen when i boot without graphicsenabler=no

Was wondering if i could just install the below 3 kexts for video :- ATIxxxxController.kext ATISupport.kext AMDRadeonAccelerator.kext Do i need ATIFramebuffer.kext?

will try that. but earlier when it was disabled, i still couldnt hear sound, but i could see output and input device once i added my dev and vendor id to it and itunes would play the song and the progress bar would move. what do i do about chameleon?

Ok this is starting to irritate me now, I installed VoodooHDA.kext initially without editing the dev and vendor ID and when playing a file in itunes, the progress bar while playing a song wouldnt move, it would stay at 0:00:00 and i had no output and input devices in sound preferences. After editing the dev and vendor ID in the kext and reinstalling the kext, i had output and input devices in sound preferences and while playing a song in itunes the progress bar was moving as well like it was playing the song but i couldnt move the volume bar in sound preferences. now when making changes to allow the moving of the volume bar, i again have no output and input devices in sound preferences and the progress bar doesnt move when playing a song.

Ive successfully installed the Ethernet driver and it works fine. Audio - Ive installed the kext with editing the primary class to match my dev and vendor id. Now when i play a song, it plays, but i hear no sound. plus i cant move the volume bar. ive seen the fix for this and ive yet to apply it. Do i need ATIFramebuffer.kext?

For some reason now, the kext wizard is not able to find the target drives. it cant find the mac drive nor the usb drive to install the kexts to. The first time i loaded it up it was able to detect the mac and the usb drive. but now it cant. im also not able to see the mac drive in Finder. I can see all my other drives and the usb drive there. any ideas?

Do i need to repair permissions, rebuild cache after installing the kexts?

can i not install it on the MAC HD?

When installing Chameleon, do i just select boot0md option and install? Or do i need to configure anything else on there?

When installing kexts using the Kext Wizard, where should you install them to? The extra folder or System/Library/Extentions ? Whats the difference between the two? Is there anything else you need to do after clicking on install? just reboot?

I also wanted to know if i install Chameleon (the boot loader) , will it detect my Windows 7 install on the other HDD and give me an option to boot into it? or will i have to edit it? Also once i install Chameleon will i be able to boot to MAC with using GraphicsEnabler=No -f ?

Where do I make this extra folder and where do I get the plist from? Also what do they do? What is dsdt? Why is chameleon required?

If you need hardware details you can just ask. im not here to get myself spoken rudely to by you or anyone. so watch your manners. i can take my queries to another forum. If you just answer those questions as is i believe that would sort my issue. My issue is not hardware specific, but a user who doesnt know where to go next from here and how. Hardware details:- Core i5 750 Asus P5755D mobo ATI HD 6950 2 GB Gkillset 2x2 GB ram. 1 TB seagate HDD & 1 160 GB Seagate HDD. Mac is installed on the 160 GB drive. Any other info u require?

Hi there, I've managed to install ML on my PC a day using the bootable USB method. Im on the desktop and im able to play around with the OS, but i have no audio, video or Ethernet. Is this because im still booting to the desktop using GraphicsEnabler=No -f ? Im aware the video kexts are not installed as i had to remove them from the USB to install ML. If i do fix the video issue would i be able to boot to the OS without using GraphicsEnabler=No -f ? which in turn will give me my audio and ethernet back? Ive not installed the Chameleon Bootloader, not sure if i need to and how. In short, Ive basically just installed the OS by removing the video kexts and i get to the desktop using "GraphicsEnabler=No -F". Im not sure where to go from here and how. Help would be most appreciated. Thanks.

Cassio need your help I believe this will fix the video issue for me -- http://Olarila.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=736&start=30 But how do i go about fixing the Internet and Audio? im guessing im gonna have to obtain the kext files for them from somewhere and install them using the kext wizard right? so i download them on windows and boot into mac and open the zip file there? where do i get the kext files from? Also do i need Chameleon? is it just a boot loader or does it help in enabling graphics, ethernet and audio? im guessing i need a proper step by step instruction for post install as well. If you may please. Im still having to use GraphicsEnabler=no -f to boot. Now regarding the above, FakeSMC.kext, NullCPUPowerManagement.kext & VoodooPS2Controller.kext are already part of the USB installer as mentioned above. Or do i need to do something? whats the difference between kext and mkext? If the above is too confusing for you, just tell me what do i need to do next?

Thanks for your help Cassio! Ive succesfully installed ML on my system. I can boot into the mac as well and play around with it. Only thing is i need to install the network, video and audio drivers. As im still booting with GraphicsEnabler=No. Moving on to the earlier posts with links for help on post installation. Do i need to get my drives in AHCI mode to install and use mac? or can i keep it in IDE? If i dont change it to AHCI mode when installing, it gets stuck with all those lines before reaching the installer. if i do change it, it gets into the installer.

Ok ive managed to get into the installation bit. had a question though. My HDD's were only detected in installation if i put them in AHCI. It wasnt detected if in IDE mode. And if in AHCI mode, i couldnt boot into windows, got a BSOD. Am i gonna have to keep switching between AHCI & IDE mode in BIOS every time if i want to get into mac and windows every now and then?

Tried with both GraphicsEnabler=No -x and GraphicsEnabler=No -f, i get to a white screen after the previous error i mentioned and it stays on that white screen. nothing happens. How do i remove video kexts?

Hi, Im new to the hackintosh community. ive tried installing 10.5 or so i guess a few years back on my amd pc n i managed to get to the mac desktop but somehow it used to freeze or crash in a few seconds. bought an intel pc then but never got back to trying to install a mac os on my pc. but here i am trying to do so again n this is the first problem i face:- after i see this line "BootCacheControl: Unable to open /Var/db/BootCache.playlist:2 No such file or directory" i see a white/grey screen but after that my monitor doesnt get a signal from the pc. any suggestions? do i need to install Chameleon? or can i install mountain lion without that?
