I have spent hours attempting to make this pipe dream of mine work. So here I am, just a man, looking into the forums for answers.
I want to dual boot MacOS Catalina, or Big Sur/Monterrey if possible, onto my Dell Venue 11 Pro 7139 which has an i5 4300Y, 256GB SanDisk SSD and 8gb ram. The closest I have gotten was with Clover getting to the Apple Disk Utility screen after the progress bar. I attempted to delete the partition I had to load Mojave on, then it reboot and I have not seen that screen since. I then tried OpenCore and created a USB install disk, put the EFI and Boot folder as well as the baserecovery files in their places, added the kext, aml and efi files needed. Then adjusted the config.plist, but cannot get it to boot. I get an error in opencore that says "OCB: LoadImage failed - Unsupported" then goes back to the OpenCore 4 option boot menu.
I thought I knew what I was doing, then I saw there needs to be patches?? Now I am confused, isn't just editing the config.plist file in propertree the correct way?
Lastly, is it possible to have dual boot off of same ssd, i know its not ideal or recommended but this is a portable tablet/laptop thats not my main use device.
attached is my config.plist as well as my acpi's, am i doing this right or did I screw up? And if so, where did I screw up so I can adjust accordingly
