  1. well, with the new graphics card I was able to install BigSur in QEMU virtual machine (using pass-through for NVME, USB and graphics). But native installer (without QEMU) won't start as it was before. Probably I need some very special config.
  2. well, I have found a couple of things: 1. MacOS does not support processors with core count which is not power of two. I have 12-core CPU (24 threads). So need to override CPU in config. 2. I tried to boot BigSur in QEMU on the same computer. It works (if override core count) if use emulated VGA adapter, but fails if pass-through my Radeon 7750. So I suspect that something wrong with it, or it requires some special initialization. 3. I ordered another very low end graphics card nVidia GT710 to continue tests
  3. no, with this one boot process stops very early no-boot-rename-to-jpg.zip
  4. >bro my folder have this bootarg. x99 need it I know, but with my config the system can proceed to a later phases. With your config it is hanging earlier I tried to insert flash drive and keyboard into USB2 port - didn't help I think using X99 profile is not appropriate in my case, because motherboard has desktop B85 chipset
  5. just found if add to my config npci=0x2000 then it is not rebooting anymore, and goes much further, but still stuck (screenshot) boot-my_rename_to_jpg.zip
  6. attached! also, at this point USB keyboard is losing backlit. boot_rename_to_jpg.zip
  7. stops even earlier than with OpenCore a.zip
  8. Still no luck. Stops with: ACPI Error: [PXSX] Namespace lookup failure, AE_NOT_FOUND (20160930/dswload2-274) No Local Variables are initialized for method ["\" ]
  9. SCM-disabled, NVRAM-resetted still stuck at boot the last line is HID: Legacy shim 2 also the last line can be: pci (build 00:23:31 Jun 23 2021), flags 0x20c0080
  10. Does not reboot now. Just stays on text console where the last lines are: ACPI: sleep states S3 S4 S5 RTCMemoryFixup RTCFX: @console relocated to 0xe0000000 Can't it be related to the graphics card? I have a pretty old Radeon 7750 with UEFI-patched BIOS
  11. Hello, Please, need help! I created config according to non-vanilla-way manual. BigSur installation boots, displays some text and hard reboots. Hardware is: Xeon E5-2690v4, Lynx Point B85 chipset, 2x16GB RDIMM, HUANANZHI-X99-BD4 Not sure what to try next. -- Regards, Serg conf.7z 2021-08-26.7z
