FYI, It fixed the problem of not showing the battery icon. The sleep issues remains. Unfortunately I brook my computer in trying to change the internal battery(cmos). So this project is over, it was really a nice laptop! Thanks again for all your help. Regards.

Same result: if sleep chosen from apple menu, sleep indicator blinks one and then reboots if lid is closed it goes to sleep state, stays there, as soon as the lid is opened it reboots;

Hi, I fixed all the issues I could. It remains two. One, sleepgoes to immediate wake and reboots the system. And two, for some reason that I cannot figure out, the battery icon does not show up, when I choose it , it comes and immediately disappears. Many thanks in advance for your help. Hi Maldon, I succeeded installing Catelina. however, I cannot install clover getting the system is not compatoblble message (The installation converted my ssd to AFPS). Although Also I am getting "Not authorized to send Apple events to system Events " when trying to run Artheros Enabler utility of your provided Files. Thanks in advance for your help. Hi Maldon, FYI, unfortunately all my effort to get sleep/wake to work correctly even with your help had not succeeded yet. What seems to be the issue are my USB ports although I created a custom made kext, based on your recommendation. I see all four of them in pmset as a cause of the issue. I am wondering if there is a way that I can disable the ports one by one to pin down the real one? Also for the time being I am going to use another machine (Thinkpad x230) which everything functions till resolve the ROG53SW issue. Saying that I tried to do a hot swap for catelina on the x230, but in the middle of boot it stops the machine. I cannot see the message why, I think it maybe the CPU, my question is is there a limit on installing Catelina on x230. It is a series 7 based machine with HD4000. x230.jpg.zip

Hi , FYI, Archive did not do the neither. On looking at the DSDT, I noticed all _PWR methods from the divices where deleted. Could ypu explain why, I am just curious. Hi, I did create usbports, deleted usbinject. The shutdown and close LID /Sleep is still there. When I select sleep, disk keeps running indefinitely. Also, I have PNLF, the slider works but no changing of the brightness. In the positive side the system does not lag like before. Looking forward to hearing from you. Hi, ok I will do and let you know, but couple of questions. In your instructions for post install you ask to run disableHibernate command, wouldn't it influence the sleep and lid close etc? Also master-disable command what does it do? And I also notice my USB3 port does not work at all? I guess it is unsupported? What kext should I try, to do what you asked, I need all the ports, but I do not have USB3 port recognized? Regards

Hi, As I mentioned before, with the new dsdt and config file system works well. But I have a few issues left. System does not power off on shut down. It goes through the process screen becomes black Sleep/hibernate does not work, . Does not go to sleep mode neither by closing the lid nor by choosing sleep from menu I tried to upload my send file but t is larger than allowed size.
