Didn't work ! still 1024x768

I tried the tutorial given on the page. No success yet ! still same old 1024x768 ! :

I've Acer 4738Z running intel HD graphics 3400. device id is 0046 and vendor id is 8086. what i'm getting is 1024x768 display. However, the actual resolution is 1366x768. Tried all possible ways like using intel hd 3000 kexts, editing their device and vendor ids but nothing seems to work. I'm running Mountaion Lion 10.8.4. Please help
