  1. Disabling all Energy saving settings looks to have fixed the issue.
  2. Hi I just installed Catalina on this machine and in general the machine is working fine, but I have some random crashes. 3. Thanks a lot. My system is working much better now, It even has sound! I still had a problem with "USB Accessory needs power" when plugging in my IPhone, but a youtube guide showed me how to fix it by removing the file USBInjectAll.kext. It worked! Any problems with that method?
  4. Thank! Can I ask what you changed? Chipset things? I still need to do step 7a (Intel HD Graphics) and 7b (Embedded Controller device)? BR Leifster
  5. No, doesn't look like it. see attached zipped screenshot. Internal hard drive only listed under Legacy... And I was a bit quick saying Legacy was working for me. I got the Olarila boot loader to appear and I could select to boot from my "mac" but it didn't boot up properly. Got to the Apple logo and the progress bar, but it never progressed. My main issue now is that the Clover version included on the latest "Olarila Catalina USB installer" (Clover_r5188.pkg) looks different from the guides and videos I find. So I'm not 100% sure which settings to change for Legacy. For the EFI content I have used the one from "Notebook Chipset Series 5,6,7,8,9" (for Haswell) as recommended in this guide. The Clover installer It also showing a warning then it is not compatible with the current OS version at the very end after typing my password to install. But the installer says it finnishes OK. Screenshot of current boot state is also included in zip file. BR Leifster ANOTHER UPDATE: After replacing the downloaded EFI package ( "Notebook Chipset Series 5,6,7,8,9") with the EFI from the "Olarila Catalina USB installer" the system now boots up properly in Legacy. Nice! Next steps for me are: - I see the Graphics (typically app title bars) are sometimes a bit garbled. Will try the HD4400 patch - When connecting my Iphone to a USB port I get a low voltage error. I see there is a fix involving a "EC" rename thing... - I would also like to disable HP's horrible clickpad as I'm using a USB mouse.
  6. Hi, I'm trying to get Olarila Catalina installed on my HP Envy 15 Full specs here: https://support.hp.com/no-no/document/c04356431 I can follow the step-by-step guide until Step 7: To copy the EFI I have downloaded the "Notbooks Chipset Series 5,6,7,8,9 Haswell" package. I use Clover Configurator to mount the EFI and then I copy the package content over. But when rebooting the computer without the Olarila USB installer it will fail to boot. Have I overlooked something? Any suggestions? UPDATE: For some strange reason the internal SSD does not support UEFI boot. Going Legacy did the trick. BR Leifster
