i can't install windows 7 with ML on G73SW
Federicotero replied to moudy_moon's topic in Mountain Lion (10.8)
you could try doing this with the cmd included on the windows installer. - write diskpart then enter - select disk x (x is the disk were you want to install w7, for example 0), then enter - select partition y (y is the partition where you want to install, like 3), then enter - active then enter - quit cmd and try to install again. -

Did you set your W7 partition as active? -

It might be indeed. The thing is W7 only can be installed on mbr partitions. Maybe some other guy with more experience has another solution. edit: I'm guessing here but maybe you could use bootcamp an try to install W7 in GPT schema. -

Did you formatted your HD with the GUID partition schema? If you did it, i think you need to re format it using MBR partition schema and then install ML with the MBR patch. -
help with ATI Radeon HD5470 512 MB (Mountain Lion)
Federicotero replied to rakusson's topic in Mountain Lion (10.8)
I have the same touchpad that you. I use voodooPS2Controller and AppleACPIPS2Nub, i had to remove voodootouchpad from voodooPS2Controller in order to get touchpad working properly. I've attached the same kext that i use with the modifications needed. Remove any previous version (if you have one) of this kexts and install the downloaded ones with kextutility. If you want you may install the prefController too, i don't use it. For your sound problem, check this thread http://Olarila.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=454 Cheers SL_PS2_Voodoo.zip -
Video perfomance and sleep issues
Federicotero replied to Federicotero's topic in Mountain Lion (10.8)
Hi Cassio, another question for you. How did you get your touchpad to work? With a kext or editing info.plist with the device and vendor? Thanks in advice! -
I have the same issue with a GT 425m and i haven't found a solution yet.

You have to format your partition first, use MacOs Plus as file system. Go to disk utilities>select the target partiton and then go to the erase tab, select MacOs Plus and then erase it. If you don't have a partition yet, you have to create it. In windows you may use disk administration tools that are located inside administrative tools. Good luck!

Hola! como va? Mira tengo entendido que el tema del sleep es un problema que tenemos todos y todavía no se encontró la solución. Yo estoy igual que vos, si encuentro algo te aviso. Saludos!

Video perfomance and sleep issues
Federicotero replied to Federicotero's topic in Mountain Lion (10.8)
Hi Cassio! Thanks a lot for your help! No, i'm not using dsdt from this forum, i'm going to use it know, i suppose that i have to open the txt file the dsdt editor, am i right? Thanks again! -
Hi all! These are my specs ASUS N53Jq • CPU: Intel Core i7-740QM 1.73GHz • RAM: 4 GB • HD: 640GB • GPU: GeForce GT 425M 1 Gb (but it show 512 mb). After a fresh install I've managed to get to work almost everything, i have problems with 2 things, video perfomance and sleep. Video: In System Information it shows that my gpu has 512 mb when it really has 1 gb, here it is a ss And i think i have a perfomance issue with the video because i tested it on OpenGl Extensions Viewer and i've got pretty lame results as it shows in the next ss When i had Lion and with the LegacyAGPM from Cassio i had a score over 1000, i've try to do the same here but it seems that de Legacy kext isn't loaded. Sleep problems: It goes to sleep but it won't wake! When I try to wake the screen doesn't turn on. I don't use the NullPowerManagement kext, I'm on vanilla kernel. Until Lion I was able to sleep and wake with out problems, I think it might be something with my dsdt. I've been using the same dsdt since Snow Leopard and i got it from this thread http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=251256 I'm attaching my dsdt, maybe if it's not too much trouble you could see it and found what it's wrong. Thanks! dsdt.aml.zip

Hi Guys! Managed to get sound and the battery indicator but I still have perfomance issues with the video. I've tried to load the legacy kext that i've found on another thread but it didn't get loaded (i know it didnt load because when i ran kextstat on the terminal it didnt appear). Can someone help me? I have a Asus n53jq the same as Cassio. Thanks!

Hi guys very nice work you did with this usb installer. Now i have a favor to ask you Cassio, I've noticed that you have the same notebook as me, so could you please send me the kexts that you've installed after a fresh install? Wifi its working from the beginning (with my dsdt), but i have no sound and my trackpad isn't working either. Also if you have any more improvements like showing the battery icon and get a better graphics performance i'm glad to hear you. Thanks for your help!
