  1. hey fellas can someone please help me fix this igpu kernel panic that keeps crashing my dell 3493? igpukp.zip Cheers! ________________________________________________________________________________________ Also, a temporary hack... not a fix!!! I connected Logitech Pebble bluetooth mouse with the laptop and BAZZINGAAA!!!! THE TRACKPAD STARTED WORKING MAGICALLY!!! (Multitouch Page Scroll is not working) Also, in System Preferences, there is no touch pad detected!!! I am beginning to wonder if there is a way to Inject Bluetooth mouse or something that will make the trackpad work in these devices (until someone really works out a more permanent fix)??????
  2. @bss111 Oh I didn't know that was a bait! You've already helped me build it for mine... so thanks to you!!! Loving using the build... It has become very stable since my previous post about kernel panics and system crashes. Cheers!
  3. Hey good people... I realised that the boot up 3 minutes black screen is caused by the plugged in USB devices (wifi & bluetooth mouse) and the verbose mode showed that clearly... So most of the times, when I boot up disconnecting the USB devices, it doesn't sleep for 3 minutes, rather comes straight to the login screen. (although, some times, it still does go black, so I still have some figuring out to do). Addtionally, each time the screen goes black due to USB devices, this line shows in the log: ioconsoleusers gioscreenlockstate 3 ---->>>> This changes the pmset hibernatemode property to 3 (which I reset to 0 manually) Is there a way to force gioscreenlockstate as 0 during the boot? that might solve this problem! (Just thinking out loud) Other than that: I installed the Realtek RTL8100 kext from Meize and the LAN is working now. Attaching the kext in case anyone needs it! RealtekRTL8100.kext.zip Config.plist additions: DeviceProperties: <key>PciRoot(0x0)/Pci(0x1D,0x0)/Pci(0x0,0x0)</key> <dict> <key>AAPL,slot-name</key> <string>Internal@0,29,0/0,0</string> <key>built-in</key> <data>AQ==</data> <key>device_type</key> <string>Ethernet controller</string> <key>model</key> <string>RTL810xE PCI Express Fast Ethernet controller</string> </dict> Kernel: <dict> <key>Arch</key> <string>x86_64</string> <key>BundlePath</key> <string>RealtekRTL8100.kext</string> <key>Comment</key> <string></string> <key>Enabled</key> <true/> <key>ExecutablePath</key> <string>Contents/MacOS/RealtekRTL8100</string> <key>MaxKernel</key> <string></string> <key>MinKernel</key> <string></string> <key>PlistPath</key> <string>Contents/Info.plist</string> </dict> Although these should be auto when you rebuild... still if someone needs it! My verbose boot log shows so many things I am not even sure I need in the Kernel. Attaching the log file if someone can please see what can be completely removed to quicken up the boot up! VerboseLog.zip Trackpad on our laptop is DELL0978 (In Windows it shows as HID-TrackPad)... Have tried a couple of kexts but no success yet. Will keep you guys posted if there is any breakthrough! Lastly, I found a post on the internet while searching. Someone claiming to have installed Catalina and have a working Trackpad on the Dell 3493... But no EFI or Kexts, just images... Here is the link: https://www.installhackintosh.com/installed-hackintosh-system/642-success-hackintosh-macos-catalina-10-15-6-build-19g2021-in-dell-inspiron-14-3493?tmpl=component&print=1&layout=default
  4. This post is solved... Use this awesome guide:
  5. @bss111 Firstly, THANK YOU for not just posting this awesome post, that too with all the necessary resources... But much more for personally helping me through the process of installing Catalina on my DELL INSPIRON 3493. @MaLd0n Thank you for this awesome forum!!! With this guide, I am able to install Catalina 10.15.7 but there are some things I need help with: 1. Everytime the OS boots, the display goes black at the end of the Apple Logo loading Screen and seems like the laptop is in sleep, and it stays like that for some minutes and then all of a sudden, wakes on the login screen. (I have disabled all Sleep and hibernate related settings in PMSET). (Attaching config.plist)... 2. A Bunch of times, the system got stuck and I had to force reset (attaching some error logs). I tried playing around with the SMBIOS. Ran as Macbook Pro16,2 earlier, currently running as Macbook Air9,1 but with both, the laptop is repeating this behavior. Other than that, as noted in this guide, TouchPad (using external mouse), LAN & WIFI not working (using TP Link Wifi Dongle and have ordered DW1820A Wifi Card to replace the stock card)...!!! Rest all is sorted & working well!!! **Using the Config.plist that bss111 uploaded on 19th Oct. - Changes that I made to the config.plist: a. Removed AirportItlwm b. Removed Nvidia graphics (since only integrated graphics). Added -wegnoegpu to the boot-args Please help me sort out the 1 & 2 mentioned above... Thank you Sam ErrorLogs.zip config.plist.zip
  6. I found out that my processor is Ice Lake and there isn’t any support from Apple on the 11th gen yet. Apple will be launching the new MacBooks with the new intel processors later this year. Guess I’m gonna have to wait till they officially do. There are posts of people using fake CPU IDs, but I don’t think I found any promising answers.
  7. Also tried using EasyUEFI to create a boot entry and tried loading clover through that, it still gives me the same error saying no bootable device.
  8. Hi Mald0n, thank you for replying. I opened the EFI partition on my windows laptop and pasted the CLOVER folder there and even replaced/pasted the files you attached. It still gives the same error. I’ve already upgraded the bios to the latest version available (1.5). What am I missing? I’m pretty new to this so please help crack this one
  9. Hey guys, I absolutely loved my previous experience using one of your installation files on my desktop. However, I'm trying to replicate the same on a laptop I recently bought. Dell Inspiron 3493 with i5-1035g4 processor, Intel UHD, 32GB Ram, 1TB SSD. I have already made a bootable olarila usb, but when the laptop boots to the clover screen, when I select install Mac OS, it does not continue with the setup, rather goes on to loading the windows preinstalled on the laptop. I've tried with inject intel with/without fakeID 12345678, have tried with config2 option, but no success. I tried getting the other drive out of the boot sequence, then it just gives an error saying no bootable device. Please help! Regards
