  1. I've already shown four screenshots of Hackintool (two without nvidia disabled, two after with nvidia disabled). Can't get anywhere. Are you able to see my attachments? I had to post hi-res links in the second post. One thing I've done is made sure the connector is HDMI for the external monitor but still does not make a difference: framebuffer-con1-type: 00080000 To repeat everything works great until NVidia is disabled. Further info in the screenshots. Thx.
  2. Confirmed. 3 displays: https://ark.intel.com/content/www/us/en/ark/compare.html
  3. Thanks. Checking my screenshots it shows the monitor connected to Intel before the patch? Thx
  4. Unfortunately I am no longer allowed to upload attachments because my allocation is full, nor can I delete attachments to free up space. I notice the image sizes are being reduced in these forums with no way to enlarge so here they are in full resolution: https://ibb.co/CBqStTs https://ibb.co/SKRZL0T https://ibb.co/cJmXPwT https://ibb.co/fkvK2qt Also if webmaster is watching, we are only allowed to post every 25-30 minutes.
  5. Hello I have a Dell Inspirton 10th Gen 7591 Inspiron laptop. I've managed to get HDMI (full UHD) and 2 x Displayport (HD only) to work with the internal display (although the displayport monitor mirror each other). The Intel UHD 630 is the primary monitor with full acceleration. So now I'm disabling the Nvidia card which works with an ACPI patch (attached in link), however I lose all my external monitors. What am I doing wrong? config.plist and ACPI patch here on wetranfer (I can't seem to free up attachment space): https://we.tl/t-IJqJTueH97 BEFORE PATCH: AFTER PATCH (No display): Thanks!
  6. Hi I'm fairly new to hackintosh and have a Catalina install. This is a general question, if I update the motherboard bios what problems am I likely to get and how should I avoid? Obviously I'm backing up and will be able to restore. I would also update to the latest kexts and clover ... But would else I need watch out for? Would my ACPI bios patches he destroyed? Fairly clueless to be honest. Thanks!
  7. Nevermind, I'm wrong. Limitation of motherboard and internal graphics. It's 30Hz. I have another question, do you own a Z390 Designare Motherboard with a working/clean Catalina install? I'm keen to compare notes and want to clean up my system. Would you mind posting your clover folder and a list of kexts in /library/extension. You can create the list in extensions by dropping to terminal and typing: ls -l /Library/Extensions > files.txt and then attach it here. If anybody has any tips as well please let me know... Thx.
  8. This thread has become too long and complicated, as I've progressed and most or the info here is now irrelevant I've created another thread for clarity. Admin is free to lock this thread if they so wish: New thread here: https://Olarila.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=95&t=17298
  9. Hello I have an Gigabyte Designare Z390 motherboard and latest BIOS running Catalina 10.15.2. I have an NVidea Geforce 1070 graphics card which I am not using, that's hopefully disabled. Motherboard comes with an Intel UHD 630 internal display adapter which I have spent days trying to get working at UHD resolution. I've finally managed to get UHD via HDMI (I had another thread here and fixed it myself). The only issue now is that it's only running at 30Hz, not at 60Hz. The monitor will only work at HDMI 1.4 not HDMI 2.0. I know it will work because Windows 10 has no problem at all with the Intel UHD630 under HDMI 2. Can somebody tell me please what to do here? I've tried many boot flags and tried to change config.plist. Also config.plist does have from hackintool this entry but it's not working: enable-hdmi20 I attach clover folder (zip) and a text file listing the kext files I have in /Library/Extensions, and pasted below a report on my display. If you need any further info please ask. 10. OK it works! (Mostly) with config.plist posted I needed to set the monitor to HDMI 1.4 rather than HDMI 2! The Intel UHD630 and Gigabyte Designare motherboard and my monitor can drive HDMI 2 however under Windows 10, so I need to work out how to do this with Catalina. config.plist does have from hackintool this entry but it's not working: enable-hdmi20 Working config.plist attached and system report for display below. ----> Intel UHD Graphics 630 (Desktop 9 Series): Chipset Model: Intel UHD Graphics 630 (Desktop 9 Series) Type: GPU Bus: Built-In Slot: Internal@0,2,0 VRAM (Dynamic, Max): 1536 MB Vendor: Intel Device ID: 0x3e9b Revision ID: 0x0002 Metal: Supported, feature set macOS GPUFamily2 v1 Displays: U32R59x: Resolution: 5120x2880 (5K/UHD+ - Ultra High Definition Plus) UI Looks like: 2560 x 1440 @ 30 Hz Framebuffer Depth: 30-Bit Colour (ARGB2101010) Display Serial Number: HTOM500757 Main Display: Yes Mirror: Off Online: Yes Rotation: Supported Automatically Adjust Brightness: No ------------- Display: Type: GPU Bus: PCIe Slot: Slot-1 PCIe Lane Width: x16 Vendor: NVIDIA (0x10de) Device ID: 0x1b81 Revision ID: 0x00a1 Kernel Extension Info: No Kext Loaded config.plist.zip
  11. -x boot flag fixed the blinking. Now HDMI screen is black and I can log in remotely. I got some ioregexplorer screenshots of the GPU. What am I doing wrong? Config.plist in previous post. https://ibb.co/CVNKbHN https://ibb.co/yfgphDg https://ibb.co/Bz4TB5w https://ibb.co/ZmP3WvV https://ibb.co/tp6HRPw
  12. I may be closer. I tried Displayport connections - no use. I decided to Remote Desktop into my Designare PC tower using my laptop to see if I can get in. In low res modes (which is spoofing Intel) I could, as explained earlier I can boot fine this way. So I went back to trying to get this working under UHD via HDMI (removing Intel spoof). Most of the time I could not get in with Remote Desktop as it was crashing (not a port issue then). After trial and error with Hackintool and clover editor, without Intel spoofing, I’ve managed to stop it crashing, specifically this happens now: 1) External display is always black, and HDMI is turning on and off all the time (I assume the HDMI signal it just polling on and off every second). 2) The Remote Desktop session appears to be showing a UHD display! However it is blinking on and off similar to what is happening in (1), but at opposite times! Unfortunately this blinking means it’s impossible to log in. It’s like they are fighting each other? (No idea what this behaviour really means). Well that’s better than crashing outright isn’t it? And I’m seeing UHD for the first time… so I call it progress - a little. Not crashing, guess it's either ports or maybe the external NVidia card is trying to take over? The file below is the config.plist that exhibits this behaviour. Any comments please? You can’t tell me I’m not trying LOL! Thanks. blinks HDMI (blank) and remote (UHD).plist.zip
  13. I am still using the last config.plist I posted above, however here are some example config.plist's I've tried that don't work. Also my graphics card details is as below (taken via GPU-Z via Windows). Don't forget I have a Geforce 1070 I'm not using (not compatible with Catalina). Thanks. attempts-config.plist.zip
  14. There are 3 templates for this motherboard via hackintool. I've previously tried all three and have read the guide . It made no difference I'm afraid, blank screen . I'm stuck.
  15. To update, I just did this: From config.plist: 1) Removed FakeID 2) Removed InjectIntel. I got this screenshot which shows white vertical lines and a crash dump?: http://pasteboard.co/IQLgHlz.jpg I managed to recover from this by adding -igfxvesa bootflag. Unfortunately I'm now in exactly the same position it seems (no UHD). Latest config.plist attached. Thx config.plist.zip
  16. Hello I have an Intel Designare Z390 motherboard and latest BIOS. Catalina 10.15.2. It comes with an Intel UHD 630 internal display adapter which I have spent days trying to get working at UHD. It only displays at 1280 x 1024 (I'm aiming for UHD), and it only works if I inject the Intel graphics card in clover. Right now “About this Mac” reports Intel UHD Graphics 630 5mb. If I do not inject the Intel graphics card it comes up with a black screen or garage (5 vertical lines). I am using HDMI. I am aware this is a common problem. I’ve also got an Nvidia GeForce 1070 which I hope is disabled (obviously not support for this). What I have done: * Tested HDMI display under Windows 10 - it works under full resolution. * Tried to change the port to HDMI with various tutorials using Hackintool etc (turning off Intel Injection), whatever I try it’s a black screen. * BIOS is set up correctly. I enclose clover folder which contains a config.plist configured to spoof the intel card with injection and this works out of the HDMI port at low resolution. The issue is when I stop spoofing Intel. There is also a file in the archive that has a list of kexts in my library/extensions folder. There is also a file with the startup log (verbose mode). I also have an ioregistryexplorer log, too large for these forums, you need to download here: https://we.tl/t-bJimaOnEFg Please note I tried the below guides and posts, I think it’s been 3 or 4 days now of rebooting lol. I’ve been non stop googling… I am going crazy. I guess I’m asking to be baby spooned somewhat so please help! And if you can see anything I’m doing wrong otherwise in my config please let me know. I think I’ve cleared up quite a bit and everything is up to date (hopefully). Thx very much!!
