[Guide] - SSDT with Pike's PM Script and use with CPUFriend

Thanks MSI, great guide, really well described. My question is: I have XCPM active, if using the frequency injector via SSDT or kext, there is a further increase in performance? -
Hello to all, I'll explain the problem... The machine is at the bottom, the Boot loader: Chameleon r2377 kext: fakesmc, applehda, GenericUSBXHCI.kext x USB 3.0, AppleRTC patched, patched AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement, AppleLPC ver. 1.5.1 ( test 10.6.8 ) So if I start with DSDT=NULL, the system is operating at 99% except for the audio and the absence of loading the kext: AppleLPC. The sleep function is activated after 20 seconds (so it works only in mavericks, but no problem) by pressing the power button or from: Apple Menu>Stop. Wake up fast without restarting. Problem is with shutdown for the absence of the DSDT . With patched DSDT (attached to post) with the essentials, without errors, to inject AppleLPC (3a18), and then loaded, when I try to go to sleep after 20 seconds the usb go in sleep but the pc stays on, to put him to sleep total I have to press the power button on the pc. Only a few times, repairing permissions and rebuilding the cache, the sleep works. It would therefore seem a problem with all'AppleLPC. I do not understand if I miss a fix in DSDT...? if there is a patch for this kext...? But does anyone know if it is essential to load at startup, the computer seems to behave regularly without it, including speedstep... Thanks in advance for the help... DSDT.aml.zip

I discovered that the freeze after wake (main problem) are related precisely to wake up the sata disks... USB and LAN wake up properly... DSDT patch?
-
Sorry, probably my bad english. System goes to sleep well with Stop in apple menù, and auto sleep working properly with darkwake=no in org.chameleon. The principal problem is wake. Because monitor, usb (keyboard, mouse, etc..) and sata disk turns on, but The system freezing. I have to restart by pressing reset. For powermanagement, in console i have: kernel[0]: AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement: Turbo Ratios 1112 kernel[0]: AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement: (built 23:03:24 Jun 24 2012) initialization complete kernel[0]: AppleIntelCPUPowerManagementClient: ready In dsdt i removed _PRW method from: UHC & EHCI, and now usb wake on, but I have this in console: [0xffffff801990f400] The IOUSBFamily is having trouble enumerating a USB device that has been plugged in. It will keep retrying. (Port 2 of Hub at 0x1a000000) [0xffffff801990f400] The IOUSBFamily was not able to enumerate a device. For wake reason: kernel[0]: Wake reason = kernel[0]: USB (EHCI):Port 2 on bus 0xfa connected or disconnected: portSC(0x101803) kernel[0]: An Unknown USB Device (Port 2 of Hub at 0x1a000000), may have caused a wake by being connected The link you posted... I tried to follow yet... My untouched DSDT: Rampage III Extreme.dsl.zip Thanks in advance pmdsp!

Hello, guys! My system: Mac OS X 10.8.2 Asus Rampage III Extreme i7 950 3.07 Ghz 2x nVidia GTX 470 (SLI in Win7) ALC 889 - multishit DSDT (patched with DSDT Editor - no errors, no warnings) only kexts installed: AACPIPlatform Rollback, FakeSMC, patched 10.7.4 AppleHDA.kext Everything is OK and works, except sleep: I removed the prw method of usb in dsdt, now the usb wake ok. System wake up to 99% ... The system goes into auto-sleep only: darkwake=0. HWMonitor bar shows 12% cpu speedstep ... The mouse moves, keyboard ok, but Pointer remains rainbow wheel ...? I do not know if it is an issue with cpu (speedstep) or a missing patch in dsdt ... Attached my DSDT.aml below DSDT.aml.zip I would appreciate some advice ... Thanks!

@Cassio, After command: Last login: Tue Mar 6 23:32:09 on console Mac-Pro-di-L:~ l$ grep Wake /var/log/kernel.log Binary file /var/log/kernel.log matches Mac-Pro-di-L:~ l$ ???Hint???

I take this discussion after several months because I could not fix the sleep. I updated to 10.7.3 and I can no longer issue the command: grep Wake / var / log / kernel.log. The problem of lan as explained in my first post, continues to be ... Ideas, Hint ...

I'm sorry, but unfortunately I have to work for a living ... So ... This is the procedure I followed after several months of tests and sleepless nights and the help of great team Olarila... You must install Lion with unishit, following the guide of tonycrapx86.com. At the end of the creation of the USB key, you must copy some kext in it, exactly: in E/E: AppleACPIPS2Nub.kext & ApplePS2Controller.kext can be found here: http://www.osx86.net/downloads.php?do=file&id=1448 in S/L/E: AppleACPIPlatform.kext; IO80211Family.kext; IOPCIFamily.kext. IO80211Family.kext & AppleACPIPlatform.kext, from SL 10.6.8. IOPCIFamily.kext, you must have a version of "specific" for your laptop, so to have functioning wi-fi, network, usb etc ... I followed this forum and I found a IOPCIFamily working for my NB, here: http://www.projectosx.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=694&st=0 Fact this, it would be better that you had already compiled DSDT and operating at 99%. If you copy it into the Extras folder. Get a USB keyboard, just for the installation ... Boot from USB key, with the flag -x ...

I've installed Lion 10.7.1 on RIIIE. Works: Sound - AppleHDA (ALC889) binary patched Videos - (2 Asus GTX 470 in SLI) EFI inject. SLI is supported by Lion?? Network OK, only if... after waking up the LED on the router's LAN network from green to yellow, 1GB to 100MB, the only way to restore it is to reboot. DVDR: PlextorPX880SA, Works but sometimes, (only without inserted DVD/CD) seems to turn on the burner and makes "funny noises ..." but it works. Maybe not 100% compatible ...? Unresolved issues: My ICH10 is seen as ICH8, The two pairs of disks in raid0 are seen as external. How to fix? Sleep, do not go to sleep, or better, after a couple of seconds wakes up alone. I run: grep Wake / var / log / kernel.log Mac-Pro-to-Luke: Luke ~ $ grep Wake / var / log / kernel.log Dec 5 02:53:51 Mac-Pro-of-Luke kernel [0]: Wake reason: EHC2 Dec 5 03:19:32 Mac-Pro-of-Luke kernel [0]: Wake reason: EHC2 Dec 5 03:20:55 Mac-Pro-of-Luke kernel [0]: Wake reason: EHC2 Then I followed this guide: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?s=&showtopic=155345&view=findpost&p=1533492 My unmodified EHC2 in DSDT: Device (EHC2) { Name (_ADR, 0x001A0007) Method (_DSM, 4, NotSerialized) { Store (Package (0x07) { "AAPL,current-available", 0x05DC, "AAPL,current-extra", 0x04B0, "AAPL,current-in-sleep", 0x09C4, Buffer (One) { 0x00 } }, Local0) DTGP (Arg0, Arg1, Arg2, Arg3, RefOf (Local0)) Return (Local0) } Method (_PRW, 0, NotSerialized) { Return (GPRW (0x0D, 0x04)) } } I deleted the PSW method, but nothing. Try this? : http://Olarila.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=3521#p3521

Cassio, if i reboot in verbose the machine start fine. When no restart or no turn on, the boot will stop on blank screen with Apple logo without the turn wheel...

So guys... I have a problem with Lion 10.7.2 for some time... If I restart or turn on the NB having previously rebuilt the cache and repaired permissions, everything is fine and lion starts, contrary I have to turn off and on at least three or four times to start it properly... I do not understand... In org.chameleon.boot.plist, flags: UseKernelCache=Yes, I already canceled kernelcache from: S/L /Caches/Startup/com.apple.kext.caches I also repaired permissions and cache, as clarified by oldnapalm in a post. A little help... Thanks.

In the list of patches for the motherboard, the Striker II Extreme is not there, how do I patch??? thanks...

The stop of the monitor is set to 1 minute, 2 minutes the sleep. The monitor turns off, but does not go to sleep ... Why ...??? Help me guys Please.

Ok Cassio, solved... Added UseKernelCache=Yes to org.chameleon.Boot.plist and for sleep-wake CMOS Reset problem i've installed AppleRTC 1.3.1, from 10.6.8 Combo Update which i have extract with pacific.

I don't have Extensions.mkext file in /System/Library/Caches/com.apple.kext.caches/Startup...

I have not enabled UseKernelCache. PS2 kext (from: http://www.kexts.com/downloads.php?do=file&id=1448) are in /S/L/E
