I was able to install Mojave with the olarila usb image (thanks for that!).
Im using one of those cheap dual x79 (Ivy-Bridge) Chinese boards. Mine is branded as Jingsha but I've seen the same under the Kllisre "brand":

To complete the setup I've dropped two 8-core Xeon E5-2690 (2.9 Mhz), 32 Gb DDR3 1600, an Asus RX560 and a 256Gb nvme SSD.
To be honest, I thought I would have more trouble installing MacOS but has been very straight forward. Adding the RAM required me to do some SMBIOS edits but that's almost it.
The one problem Im having is with the RX560 fans not spinning (they spin a bit on power up only). This card in particular is an Asus Strix RX560 and I believe fans might be controlled by software under Windows. I was wondering if some of you had a similar problem and know how to solve it...
