Video Guide - Hackintosh USB Port Mapping with Hackintool
rocky_mtn replied to MaLd0n's topic in Installation Guides
ASRock Z390 Phantom Gaming 9 / Intel i9-9900K / Also trying to get Fenvi T919 Bluetooth (WiFI is OK) to work wired to USB 2.0 header on motherboard. I've reinstalled everything and it's booting. I'd like to get Hackintool to recognize my Intel Generation instead of ???, then figure out why it's not highlighting my active USB ports so I can actually map them and get my ports right and my bluetooth working again. Thanks! -
Video Guide - Hackintosh USB Port Mapping with Hackintool

What do you do when Hackintool doesn't highlight active ports green? It lists all my ports, but doesn't highlight any of them at all?? I also notice my "CPU Generation" is ???. How do I fix this? -
Please check this out @MaLd0n you've patched this system for me before, but I've freshly installed Big Sur. I cannot seem to get my Bluetooth working. Fenvi T919 card. WiFi is working fine. Let me know what you think will get my bluetooth working again. It used to work. Again, everything seems to be working EXCEPT bluetooth. This card "should" work out of the box. Thanks!! System OC 0.6.3 Big Sur 11.0.1

Thank you kind sir. I just really want to get to the bottom of why I can't install beta 3 on my nvme drive. I really appreciate you letting me know if you're able to get beta 3 on your z390 board with an nvme. ? No rush, just bothers me to no end when I can't get something working and I think I should be on beta 3 if its out, not 2.

I hear you, but I’ve got it running beta 2. You said you were able to run beta 3 with the “premade efi”. Can you point me in the direction of this premade efi? Beta 3 doesn’t seem to want to install on my nvme drive for some reason, the installer breaks the beta 2 install trying to update to beta 3 from system prefs, or from usb through opencore. I’d really like to get on beta 3 for the fixes. Thanks in advance.

Hackintosh OpenCore Vanilla Guide, Step by Step
rocky_mtn replied to MaLd0n's topic in Installation Guides
I have an AMD RX580, not sure why I would do that...maybe I'm not understanding you. I'm building my EFI folder right now after the initial boot and installing the kext for my 10Gb fiber adapter. After a reboot I should know more. This system has always ran using the RX580 and smbios 19,1 and worked flawless in Catalina. Problems solved! Just rebooted and everything is working as it should. The problem with hackintool was it needed updated to 3.4.4. EVERYTHING is working! Thanks million!! -

Audio fixed with fresh install, now to figure out why video is acting weird. Might need to update config.plist with the intel onboard video patch. -
Hackintosh OpenCore Vanilla Guide, Step by Step

Any ideas why when I upgraded from Catalina to Big Sur I lost my audio EXCEPT on system sounds? My video is acting strange too. It looks good but theres a flicker if you mouse over a youtube video timeline or if I open hackintool the graphics look fine when I first open it, but then they go to crap and the buttons up top disappear?? The audio is bothering me most though. Please help me troubleshoot these two issues? Again, my system sounds are working, but playing audio from youtube or apple music is totally silent. I did also change from clover to opencore, am I missing a couple drivers that are needed for audio and video? I think I'm going to just wipe and do a clean install. Everything worked fine on my test hard drive yesterday on a clean install. The problems started when I upgraded Catalina and switched the bootloader. I have to have audio ? -

Finally got big sur beta 2 working, can you check my sendme file? I upgraded from Catalina and changed from clover bootloader to opencore and its running well. My macOS system sounds appear to be working, but my audio on things like Apple Music and Youtube are not working. I'm also noticing some glitching on video from the graphics like I can briefly see the top menu in hackintool, but once the app loads completely the top menu bar where you can select pcie and other tabs, they are blank. I can upload a screenshot if that doesn't make sense. Anyhow, thanks again for the awesome work! Here is my sendme file. Please help with audio and video... http://s000.tinyupload.com/?file_id=08310942654144099063 Well, I just realized my smbios changed. I should probably start with correcting that. I’ll bet that helps quite a bit. I’ll still take any suggestions anyone can think of. Thanks. -
@MaLd0n I was finally able to download the files, thank you. Can I ask for a little advice? I am currently running 10.15.6 Catalina with Clover and I have been wanting to make the switch to OpenCore. My 10.15.6 install is on my 1TB m.2 SSD and I have a spare 500GB SSD in the machine to tinker with. Should I just start a brand new install on the 500GB SSD of Big Sur with OpenCore and get it running, then migrate it to the m.2 when it's fine tuned? Should I use the USB method with beta 3? I just want to be successful with installing beta 3. Thanks as always.

Can someone else PLEASE host/upload this .dmg file? I tried "adding" it to my google drive account and it just added a shortcut and says the same thing, too many downloads. Not available at this time.

Screen flicker and input lag are still horrible. Is this something that can't be fixed? Thank you for the update DSDT file.- 3,037 replies

Install MacOS with Vanilla Olarila Image, Step by Step
rocky_mtn replied to MaLd0n's topic in Installation Guides
Hello @MaLd0n I recently switched NIC to a Solarflare 10GbE model SFN5122F. The package installer for the driver wouldn't install saying it was untrusted which is a known issue in Catalina. I cannot figure out how to get the package installer to install. I was able however to get the NIC working just installing the kext file into EFI folder under kexts/other. The NIC is working and identified as en3 and also identifies as 10Gbase-SR on the machine. The trouble is I'm noticing some pretty bad input lag and screen flickering with this NIC installed. It does it with, or without the kext installed in the EFI folder. I wanted to upload a new sendme file to see if this is something that can be fixed?? The input lag from my mouse and keyboard and the screen flickering from the GPU (RX580) are terrible and I need to get this fixed or I will have to downgrade to Mojave on this machine. Side note, I do have another machine running Mojave you helped me with, and the same Solarflare NIC and driver package installed perfect without a hitch and it's working marvelous with no screen flicker or input lag. Here is my newest most recent sendme file. Can you have a look please? Here is the tinyurl link, thanks as always sir! http://s000.tinyupload.com/?file_id=27107545959881154221- 3,037 replies
