  1. Hello, Thank you for your response. I'm not booting UEFI. The motherboard does not have UEFI NVME capability. However I can boot UEFI from sata and sata legacy. As to the answer to your question about fresh install, it is a fresh install from the instructions provided on the site. (very good by the way). I have tried UEFI sata boot, same results. Everything works... however the update does not. Added in 30 minutes 3 seconds: I was successful! This is what I had to do. 1. NVME drive is an image from the original SSD drive, I used to set a new fresh install. 2. NVME drive was formatted HFS, the update demands . APFS, so I used the installer to convert the NVME from HSF to APFS according to APPLE support. , still I was getting an error update would not install. 3. I booted the SSD. (slower ofcourse). I ran the Update again, but I told to apply the update to the NVME drive instead of the SSD. for some reason, it was able to apply the update. Success!, I shut down, removed the SSD, connected the Clover boot drive "sata", booted, it see's the nvme APFS (as before), booted! I went though setting up Siri and other items, and DONE!. It seems, that in this system , the update won't install on the same drive it currently booted from...weird. In all the same SMBIOS was used. Its done, however, its still not suppose to work this way. I tell you this, the update took 5 minutes!
  2. This is what I get. "The installation failed." I downloaded the Combo Update and the regular update. Any help will be appreciated. 3. That did not work. Kept getting Read errors. access denied But I got the network cards working. Smalltreexxxx and Rehab Fake PCIID kexts. Last things is the power button.. Almost done!
  4. I had to download it again.. it worked. I also got it installed, Raid working, video working, USB working, I have no sound card yet, but soon. The only thing not working is Ethernet, I will figure that out today. I think I need a KExt for it. And I will install a USB 3 card too. Once I'm done I will explain what I had to do.
  5. have to download the image again...Got an error at the end of the installation 2 minutes before finishing, stating the data is corrupt to download the raw file again. hum... something up with the catalina image? I will download again.
  6. Hi, First option did not work, however I found a list of SM BIOS on the internet. I chose iMac17,1_ hence according to the information has an AMD video a card. It's currently installing Catalina. It worked.. It got passed it. Once im done and get everything working, I will post all the settings for this super machine that has 24 logical cores! I'm also configuring RAID too... by using HIGHPOINT 27020 adapter which MAC OS recognizes... Have too see how to get it to boot automatically..... I think I will use a regular Sata 30GB SSD drive for CLover boot and then jump to the raid. I will keep you posted. Thanks
  7. I understand what you are saying, but How do I set that up during initial boot? Is there are option on the intro clover screen?
