  1. Yeah what happens is the installer crashes before finishing then booting from the created install partition will almost boot up then crash, with a brief message which flashes on the screen momentarily, I will try to capture it. Something to do with SMC is all I can tell. I've tried various things, using Fakesmc kext, trying different boot arguments. But I think a lot of people have this issue currently.
  2. Hello Mald0n, here is my dump, I would appreciate any help. Trying to do things the proper way. Regards, Paul http://s000.tinyupload.com/index.php?file_id=69017594004596747009
  3. Hello @Mald0n, I've tried with Beta 1,2,3,4 and 5. Installer of Big Sur always crashes at a certain point, when trying to install from USB. Obviously using latest OC 0.6.1 and latest kexts, maybe you could advise me? I am able to install with the restore method or VMWare method, and then boot up, but cannot finish native installation from USB. Thank you friend, Paul from South Africa. I can upload my EFI folder if need be. My specs are Asus Z97k, i5-4460, RX560 4gb graphics, 1tb Intel 660p NVME. Runs Catalina and older perfectly.
  4. You need new opencore version, new kexts, custom boot arguments and a well constructed config.plist (see the ones supplied by mald0n) to boot into Big Sur
