  1. Just in case anyone was wondering, I upgraded to Catalina Public Beta 5 through Apple Software update without any problems, starting from a clean install from latest Olarila Catalina image. I wanted to see if anyone else reported success before taking the plunge, but I got tired of waiting!
  2. Thank you! Quick question: the product name, serial number, and SmUUID, etc. have changed. Is this ok, or should I port back in the values from my most recent SMBIOS in config.plist? Mainly concerned this might break my iMessage unless I take the appropriate steps. Edit: For learning purposes, is it more important to align the Mac model to the motherboard/chipset or the CPU? (Sorry for being complicated with the BIOS/CPU mod!) Edit2: Nevermind, I rolled with it, and nothing bad happened. All my devices using PCIe lanes now show up in system profiler, bluetooth works, and iMessage still work like a charm. Awesome, and thank you!
  3. See attached output of the Runme.app below. I will provide a summary of my setup and what's working/not working, so you can make a judgment call about whether patching the DSDT is worth while... Specs: CPU: i5-9600K all-core overclocked to 4.7GHz +30mV offset Mobo: Asrock Z170 gaming itx/ac (modded BIOS to support coffee lake chips) RAM: Gskill DDR4 RAM OC'ed to 3000MHz 2x16gb SSD: Samsung EVO 850 m2 SATA SSD 250gb shared with Windows 10 GPU: XFX RX 580 8gb External sound card: Creative Sound Blaster X-fi Titanium HD USB Catalina beta Olarila image install, APFS + Clover bootloader + 100 series Clover file copied over. What worked out of the box: -Display -Built-in Wifi -USB sound card playback -Power-saving on CPU (although it does not downclock at idle as much as I observe in windows ~ 1.5GHz range) -Turbo charging and file transfer with Android phone through the type c, usb 3.1 gen 2 port. -Audio through gpu displayport (I do not use onboard audio, so have not tried out any of those ports) What I got working through various guides: -iMessage/Facetime -Enabled TRIM support by adding in the relevant kext/patch in Clover configurator app What is not working/well: -Bluetooth, despite kextload of the kexts that had built-in bluetooth working on Mojave build previously. Not a deal breaker at the moment. -Mic input on USB soundcard has no gain control, so the level is very low (basically no amplification). Siri can hear me, but not other people on a video call -Wifi takes a long time to initialize after startup (this may have been fixed with copying over 100 series Clover folder, but I don't remember if I tested it out yet or not) -Shutdown and boot up feel like they takes a while? The verbose output shows a lot of things that fail or USBHosts that aren't initialized, but maybe that's normal... Thank you for all your great work! Send me.zip
