Dual monitor on my Intel HD 4600 not working
theplague replied to theplague's topic in Catalina (10.15)
I see, I used a converter to connect the VGA monitor to the Intel HDMI port and it worked, but the resolution between the two monitors connected to the Intel HD 4600 was shared, every time I changed it on one monitor the other one would also switch. I'll look into connecting all displays to the GTX, thank you! -
I have full acceleration with my GTX770 which is hooked up to two monitors, perfect! I've also got two additional monitors which are hooked up to my onboard video, HD 4600, but on that onboard video just one of the monitors will work, I attached some screenshots. Is there any tweak to get the second monitor connected to the HD 4600 to work as well?

Realtek RTL8111 not working, says cable disconnected

Thanks a lot Maldon, worked like a charm, as always you're the best ? -
Not sure what else to do since the kext seems to be loaded into memory, what am I missing here to get it to work? I would appreciate any tips!

Btw I just booted catalina and installed it fresh no problem at all, the installation reboots but I can continue by booting from the harddrive install program and it will complete successfully, with big sur the problem is that it reboots forever
-
No luck so far man, I have tried many EFI folder combinations from other users with simila hardware, 4th gen haswell + GT7xx but it keeps rebooting during install and fails to resume the installation.
-
Yes, there is a preboot from the hard drive I installed it on, "OSX", and when I choose that option it starts loading as usual and reboots with the messages above. I'm really lost here since OC had the same issue, on clover I'm using your EFI folder which worked perfectly on Mojave and Catalina. Any help is much appreciated.

I had a similar issue with OC which I was never able to fix, now I'm trying Clover with the EFI chipset folder you prepared for us, in my case the Haswell one. I can boot Clover and start the installation no problem at all, around 12 minutes the installation will reboot the pc, then I can boot into the setup from Clover again, either from the USB EFI or from the hard drive which I installed big sur, cause now it will show up under Clover as a boot option (install preboot). Problem is I did resume it about 5 times and it always reboots after the console is gone and the apple logo starts loading. Can you help me out?

Question, when it reboots the reboot is like the one in the video, a cold reboot out of nothing? Cause when it reboots OC gives me an option to boot the installer directly however the installer does not continue, it starts all over...

My installation has been rebooting around 13 minutes, how can I find out what's wrong with it? I made a few videos with the reboot happening: config (2).zip

Help: BigSur installation freezing at "LOG:EXITBS:START"

Thanks for the heads up, when you say try combinations you mean to really play with the config settings from other boards/systems that worked for other people until it boots right? -
Help: BigSur installation freezing at "LOG:EXITBS:START"
theplague replied to theplague's topic in Big Sur (10.16)
Hi Maldon! I followed that guide, copying over my chipset files to the USB EFI folder (mounted with OC Configurator), which happens to be H97 so "EFIOpenCore Serie 9", replacing all the existing files in the USB EFI folder. Unfortunately it keeps freezing at the same error. I went as far as of validating my configuration (see attached) at https://opencore.slowgeek.com and did minor adjustments, yet freezes on that screen. How can I find out more about the error, like the specific reason? Thank you config.zip -
Help: BigSur installation freezing at "LOG:EXITBS:START"
theplague posted a topic in Big Sur (10.16)
I used to have Mojave and Catalina working perfectly, today I download the BigSur from the torrent link and when boot it up it keeps freezing at "LOG:EXITBS:START", checked my BIOS and didn't find any odd settings, it's the usual stuff that worked on Catalina, what can I do about this error? Thank you -
Tried a few times already but the installation always fails at the last minute, what should I check for? Date is ok, installing APFS on a Samsung EVO950, tried with onboard intel, tried with off board GTX 770, always fails in the end. Intel Core i7 4790 Asus Z97M-Plus nVidia GTX 770 Samsung EVO 950 (no other usb devices are connected other than the keyboard and mouse)

I have a GTX770 and a HD4600, Mojave runs perfectly, haven't tried Catalina yet. The issue is that I have 4 monitors, 2 of them connected to the GTX770, the other 2 connected to the HD4600, and I'm only able to get the GTX770 to output image, the HD4600 does not output any graphics to the other two monitors. Is it possible to use both video cards in my setup to power on all 4 monitors at the same time just like I have it working on Windows?
-
Yeah, previously on Mojave my dual boot worked perfectly, must be some new option on the latest Clover that I had checked this time. I used a recover USB to boot back into Windows, will post back here the solution if I find one. Thank you

Thank you, I did not have that installed, so I went ahead and installed it and after that the errors were gone but I get a black screen with the cursor blinking on the top left corner of the screen and doesn't go anywhere.

Some errors: 1. boot0af: error (I guess this was included in the default Clover installation) 2. An operating system wasnt found. Try disconnection....

After installing Catalina and Clover ESP into the UEFI (followed the guide) I can only boot back in to OSX from the Clover menu, it does detect my Windows 10 SSD (it is a separate SSD) but when I choose it it fails to boot Windows. How do I fix that?

I have Mojave working like a charm and tried to install Catalina today but the installation keeps freezing, I tried all USB ports on the computer without any luck. My bios settings were unchanged since Mojave. Intel Core i7 4790 Asus Z97M-Plus nVidia GTX 770 Microsoft USB keyboard Motospeed V30 USB mouse (no other usb devices are connected other than the keyboard and mouse) Any idea?

I replaced the contents of my EFI folder with the zip contents and shutdown the PC. I turned it back on and the Olarila apple flashes but I still could not use the keyboard until I restarted the PC, as always restarting will make the keyboard work again on the Clover boot menu.
