alpha1718, you use the incl boot argument for keyboard and mouse. So they will still function and not affected by the excl boot arguments. Useful when you are doing the port detection tests.

This happened to me too. I tried a few things but then I realized I could still control the machine from my one of my other macs via screen sharing, so that got me through it.

rtga, alpha1718,

No idea why you guys are having issues. As can be seen here, I incl HS09, HS10 and HS14 and uses the exclude boot arg to only show SSxx ports. Works as expected. My tests to confirm is also by means of using the latest usbinjectall kexts (0.7.1 as of this writing) and latest clover release v4871 (as of this writing).

erroruser's, example is also prove that there is nothing wrong with his boot arg as well.

Ensure your keyboard & mouse ports are determined correctly by means of ioreg and boot arguments are valid.

boot args i used uia_include=HS09;HS10:HS02 -uia_exclude_hs with a new usbinjectall kext from rehabman here [External Link Removed for Guests]

-uia_exclude_ss to remove ss

How to Stay within 15 ports limit using UsbInjectall and Clover boot argument

Hi! I finally installed Mojave and everything worked ok except the USB
So I followed several guides how to fix it, posted here... but finally I used the Hackintool app, that helped a lot to determine the USB ports in use.
I combined part of the method posted here, and the uploaded guide on this video:[External Link Removed for Guests]

Now,I have all the USB ports working correctly

many thanks for all the help, galera!

best is for 3rd party kexts to be in the clover/kexts/other as is there comes an issue you can block the kext in the options section of clover boot screen other than trying through terminal

How to Stay within 15 ports limit using UsbInjectall and Clover boot argument

Post by tthdm » 14 Apr 2019, 07:46

Hello guys!

First of all, sorry for my bad English!
I have a Gigabyte Z390 Aorus Master motherboard and I used thtis repo for EFI:[External Link Removed for Guests]

I made a patch for UHD 630, and changed the SMBIOS, but the remaining configs are from this repo. This EFI has a USBMap for this motherboard too. But I have a problem and I can't find any solution. My USB ports stop working randomly. The mouse and keyboard just freeze, and if I plug in again the peripherals, it won't work, i have to restart my computer. Do you have any idea, or solution for this problem?

tthdm, Looking at the repo, you might want to add usbinjectall and xhci-unsupported kexts to your kexts/other folder.

Thank you, for the answer!
I added these kexts, and the usb was working for about 40-50 minutes, then this stopped working until i restarted the pc.
I made a repo of my kext folder, can you check it? I hope i've just made a mistake in config, or something.

Looks more like a hardware issue.Describe again in detail, how your USB "stopped" working. Was it a total build freeze or just the USB device? Any specific device or all USB ports not working?

Use the RunME app and upload your resulting files.
