I am using my onboard sound chip which is the Realtek ALC887 Codec/High Def Audio/2/4/5,1/7.1-channel.
I tried using the modified voodoo kext you supply here, but the voodoo panel always shows my output as digital. I do not have that feature on this mobo (GA-M68MT-S2). I only have the standard Blue/Head Phones Pink/Microphone Blue/Speaker jacks. Not sure how to fix the volume issue I tried adding the flag <key>VoodooHDAEnableHalfVolumeFix</key>
<true/> to my voodooHDA.Kext /info.plist file, but at reboot I lost my sound and the volume icon was grayed out.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Okay this is the information in my voodoo.HDA.kext/info.plist
I have no idea if this is the correct string for my onboard chip.
It shows the correct chip: Name: MCP61 High Definition Audio
No other information is available for this chip.
When I reboot I have no sound and my speaker icon is grayed out. Not sure why but that is the case.
lol....yeah I see that...works like a charm!! Thanks ever so much, now my new speaker system will sound perfect! Where can I give a donation that dosen't require Paypal?Cassio wrote:Device ID first
