Hi everybody! I'm trying to install snow leopard on my dv6-3016sl. I insert iBoot and swipe it with the Snow Leopard dvd. The problem is that everytime appear the kernel panic.. something about ACPI. So I tried to install it on other 2 laptops (one acer and one lenovo) and it appear always the same error. So is not a problem of my laptop.Please somebody help me. Thanks in advance

Hi, try with snow leopard 10.6.3 retail and nawcom mod cd.... and if gives kernel panic,post a photo.....

If it doesn't work with ModCD and cpus=1 try Mammoth boot CD

You need lapic kernel (Taptun).

I tryied with retail SL 10.6 and nawcom modcd and when it says press any butto to continue, it reboot my system and nothing happen...

With normal boot CDs (without lapic kernel) you need to type "cpus=1 -v" before pressing enter at the boot menu.

With which normal boot cd? can you explain me better please?

Explain what? I told you twice, if the boot CD does not contain the "lapic kernel" you need to use the boot flag "cpus=1".
